I've been wondering this for a while. I currently am a Goldsmithing 55 Journeyman and have 100K Guildpoints and none of the Items, KIs. I was wondering if the KIs are worth purchasing, and which ones. Also, if I start levelling another craft and sign up with them, will I lose all my GP?

No, you will not lose your GP if you switch guilds.

I'll let someone else answer the KI question since I'm not a goldsmither.

Do the GP from one guild transfer over to the other one?

No, they don't transfer. Any points you have with the Goldsmithing guild will stay with that guild, so should you return to Goldsmithing at a later date, your points will be waiting for you.
