Post Your Meals Thread

Here's my lunch. Straight out the can like a boss. I will try to post some dinner pictures. I had a porkchop, corn on the cob, spinach/cucumber/tomato salad, and brown rice pilaf tonight (sadly I didn't take a picture).

It doesn't taste anything special. With milk it is kind of a subpar cup of chocolate milk, with water it is pretty bland. Not the best tasting I have had, far from the worst.

I've been trying to lean out a little bit, get rid of my belly, and add a little bulk all at the same time... been working pretty well thus far.

Maybe in a different life you could have stolen my heart with your baked goods Liela. I absolutely love everything pumpkin. I grew up having pumpkin pie on my birthday because of thanksgiving, and then I made it a goal to try almost everything pumpkin. Absolutely love pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin roll.

Here's what was on the menu for dinner tonight. The image resolution sucks because my phone sucks.

Decided to make homemade chicken pot pie with my own homemade cream soup with a buttermilk biscuit topping.

Cellphone has a horrible camera though :(

I don't have a picture for you guys tonight. I have been doing workouts, so I decided to eat healthy. So I told my husband I wanted to go to Subway instead of McDonald's. That onion teriyaki chicken is so healthy, I swear! But then we went to a different sub place because it was closer, and as we were getting out of the car I saw a Mexican restaurant. So I was all "BURRITOS!" and ran in, dragging my poor hapless husband behind.

Midway through a burrito the size of my head smothered in enchilada sauce and sour cream, I looked at my fork, sighed, and said "Jillian Micheals would be so disappointed in me." Then I took another bite.

I'll be healthy tomorrow, honest! :x

Holy crap, I had a burrito for lunch! Green chile and carnitas. Mmmmmm...

I had Ethiopian for the first time ever for lunch. All vegetarian and it was good expect I didn't much care for the bread-type stuff they give you to eat everything with. No pictures, boo me.

here's couple recent fishy ones from me to catch up:

curried salmon and okra with roasted tomatoes

I served this to the gf in bed, hence the sheets :p the okra was awesome but the salmon was boring

grilled trout over with a shallot/orange pepper/capers/bread crumb topping over kale

ended up looking kind of gross but was tasty-- next time I'm going to try to brown the stuff on top a bit.

and tonight was spinach+kale base salad with some strips of seared skirt steak and batard bread, but no pic!

Yeah, I ran out of ideas. For something so trivial though, it's pretty delicious c.c;

Generally my daily breakfast. Next time I go to The Red Orchids I will bring my camera and take a picture of my meal... and maybe my waitress.

I eat these alot too. Microwave eggs really arent bad. Dont recommend the gravy bowls though...

Injera, a lot of people don't like it. I personally love it.

Flipped it over so you could see the breading... forgot to take a picture before I mauled it with cheese.

Macaroni and cheese with peas and tuna. Dinner of champions* everywhere!

Berry Colossal Crunch and a warm cup of coffee. Mmmm!



The problem with coffee is that it's disgusting. It smells sooooo good, so you expect it to be delicious, but then you take a sip and it's this nasty bitter nonsense with a bad aftertaste. So, that's not actually real coffee in that picture because I won't drink the icky stuff. It's this delicious, marvelous little invention that is fake instant coffee grounds flavored just perfectly with French Vanilla flavor. Yum!



But if you try it, I recommend ignoring the box's recommendation of how much to use. It says about 3-4 teaspoons. I use 3 tablespoons. Much better!

I made blackberry pie. I used tapioca as my thickener, but it was expired or something because it didn't thicken, and the pie is a soupy mess. :-(



I got some new tapioca, so I'll just have to finish this pie off and then try again. :D

As long as it's edible! lol ^^ I had boring old toast this morning, but that's because I'm not feeling so hot lol

I made burritos for dinner, but I love burritos so much that I got too excited and made it so big that I can't close it and now I have to eat it with a fork and knife. I can't decide if it's Failrrito or Humongorrito. Maybe both.



And then I terrified my husband by dancing around the house singing "I love burri-ri-tos! Burry Burry ri ri tos!" And when he was all "I married a maniac! D:" I went Gir on him and bellowed "BUUUUURRRRIIITTTOOO!"

Rice? Liels, I am disappoint.

What sort of coffee, what style? That sounds like bad grinds on an instant cup of coffee.
