It still amazes me how much people fan boy their jobs after all these years.

lol, BLU the bandwagon? Funny, I don't remember everyone and their mother having BST leveled before the Dynamis revamp.

Long as I get around the 200 mark I don't care if BST BLU PUP Mary poppings is superior.

I just had a cow.

Seriously though. Dynamis currency, at least on Cerberus, is at an all-time low. Almost 5k per T. shell. If they intended to make Dynamis currency less prevalent, they *** failed.

You're complaining about that why? Just means relics are slightly easier, albeit time consuming, to obtain. To prove my point, I got to stage 4 horn before setting foot in Dynamis at all, which come to think of it was a total waste of money given how easy it is now (with a little practice)

I do foresee currency prices starting to bottom out, now that an abundance of people are completing relics.
Nerf X because of Y. Y happened anyway.

Tikal you have no clear grasp of the current ffxi economy or economics in general.

The bst have switched to other jobs and continue to farm dynamis (argue more or less doesn't matter, they are still there)

But more people are farming dynamis (new players and old players) that are looking to sell currency (old players have relics, new players good source of income) causing a bigger supply.

We all know what supply and demand does to price.

Edit: the only real way I forsee prices going up in the near future is an alternative use for the currency being implemented or the hyper inflation catching up with us that we are currently going through.

Well you totally whiffed that point, Proth.

Like I said, I've got no issues with other jobs doing well in Dynamis. It's actually nice to not have a job I really like bastardized as often anymore. I've pulled those numbers before, and my BST still has some elbow-grease that needs to be applied.

@Meow, I understand the principles. SE nerfed BST's TH over the board because of Dynamis to stop something. It happened regardless, and BST is still 1 TH down because of it. Simple as that.

It's already too far gone to be saved unless it gets so low that people simply stop seeing Dynamis as enough profit to be worth the time, which will cause currency to go back up with the decrease of supply, at which point people will jump right back in and balls it up again. However that's not likely to happen as long as there's a demand for relics, and BST pet TH certainly isn't a major factor in the issue.

It doesn't matter if BLU is superior or not, realistically speaking.

BLU is a bad choice to Dyna with, solo, for the huge majority of players, period. The gear needed is much more annoying than what a BST needs.

Realistically, the time it takes to gear a BLU properly for Dyna purpose would take a whole stage 4 or 5 to be farmed.

Superior, maybe, best choice, far from it. I would be interested in knowing what is needed to make a PUP Dyna ready, probably much more interesting than BLU for the masses.

A skilled up auto, most of the attachments, and a 10-inch penis.

2 decent swords alone take this time. My whole point revolve around the fact that the majority of players are average, in every way possible.

Not taking anything away from BLU, I know what it can do, it's just not "Dyna ready" the way BST and some other jobs are.

I suppose I can see the point, the original "issue" as to why BST was "nerfed" was due to saturation of the currency market, and BST is definitely the most user friendly job to jump into dynamis with, so one could surmise that it would, in fact, be the major contributor to the "issue".

As to whether or not a tier or two of TH really made a massive difference? Doubtful.

In all honesty, the TH "nerf" never effected me. I pulled the same numbers of coins before and after the patch. It comes down to how optimal of a player you are and what you put into your gear. And for that reason most jobs can farm just as much as a bst. I just like bst more because it feels safer and can deal with oh shi.. moments easier (yeah I know blu can just sleep forever); not to mention pet jobs are the best for TE.

I never stay on a mob that isn't proced unless my JAs are like 3-5sec away.

The TH nerf didn't hurt me much, as I upgraded my BST gear in the mean time. My average stays around 220 with my main.

That being said, my full perle mules didn't change any stuff yet still average at 200.

I don't know, really :(

For me, I always thought 200 was the 'benchmark' for a somewhat decent farming run solo. Never really saw much more than that solo. It also depended on the times/competition in the zones at the time. Had some issues on some days where there were significantly more people in-zone

This of course was after the TH Nerf, as it occurred when I was 'on-break' from FFXI last year

A skilled up auto, most of the attachments, and a 10-inch penis.

Attachments that register as WSs despite being JAs (Flash, Provoke etc.), then you would have to focus on WS proccing mobs. It's a little slower, but you have absolutely no competition.

And yeah, a huge ***.

"We never claimed Pet TH+ gear would everactually exist though, just in theory you know. if it did, thats what it would do. come on people."

It's really funny this com rep seems to think that we came up with this idea on our own. Next excuse "Oh didn't you know that the blue text means we're being sarcastic"

Had a LS mate asking randomly about when is SE ever going to release the pet TH + gear.

My response to him was: Probably never. They likely said that just to not piss off BST's too much and will hope they simply forget.

Most BSTs who have been playing BST for a long time know better than to get their hopes up for these kinds of things.

Usually if I do Dyna I go subless DNC for dreamlands, otherwise I go WHM for those pesky magic procs..

I just find Dyna fun, and I used to trio it with some friends. We never got bank amount of money unless we happened to get some hundreds.. but we had a gooood time.. Casting Holy then repose on my charmed friend was worth it :D

..and an idea to balance out the drop in currency, they should have it traded for the the level increase trials..

...and now I am going to get shot.

Having both bst and blu geared very well id rather do dyna on blu. kill speed is a lot better on blu pretty much have hundred fists speed and CDC > a spikes takes a mob from full to 0hp and it gets TH2. Any blu who can solo CW burn can get a TH belt quickly. Oh and one shotting TEs is very nice.
