Has anyone ever seen a value of Resist +5?

I've seen up to 4, but wondering if anyone has seen 5+ before I go shooting for it.

+5 is possible but fairly rare as it's a max value random pool augment. Assuming you're talking about resist status+, resist element+ can go higher than +5.

I didn't think anybody used these except for BLU skill+5 let alone resistances.
