Bleach Manga Thread [spoilers]

Bleach used to be good, now I just read it to see what will happen in the end. It stopped being good after Aizen was defeated.

One of Bleach's strong points was the amazing cast of characters, however a huge problem is Kubo's inability to manage such a vast cast.

Now, I know that making comparisons to Oda would be unfair for any author, but think of the war of Marinford in OP, where he perfectly managed a huge load of characters without making it boring or turning a bunch of people into fodder.

In Bleach we should have seen a bunch of full powers already during the Karakura invasion arc, if he had made Hisagi and the vizards all use their bankai we'd have much less people that needs to be shown off now(and turned into fodder despite their amazing power they kept hidden).

Plus the Fullbringer arc was absolutely unnecessary and just added a bunch of characters that are redundant and just makes the battlefield even more confusing(and will make battles draw out longer..), when we already had an outside party that could come to support shinigami(the arrancars bribed by Urahara)

If all side characters had been taken care of at the right time he would have been able to make a final arc that focuses only on the main cast, instead here's what we need to see...

(starting from the main cast)
Urahara
Yoruichi
Sado
Maybe Orihime(dunno if she got a powerup, but I doubt she'll fight)
Byakuya's new bankai

and then we have all the shinigami crew:
Shunsui
Ukitake
Hisagi
Love
Yumichika
Zero Division guys
Grimmjow(maybe Nel too)
Fullbringers crew..

as an example of how Kubo failed to manage the characters think of Otoribashi's bankai reveal, steamrolled in 1 chapter, fodder ridiculousness.

I could say some things about that battle in OP, but I feel it'd be derailing.

At least Volk got some fan service in this time, go Volk.

Large panels really fills up the pages so fast with little progression.
As one comment I read after one said chapter it read as :

Bleach is like opening a bag of chips and finding only one chip inside.

Things are getting too dragged on that we even forget some of the cast are still there. If it wasn't for Volk, we would have forgotten all about Yuroichi, and hey, remember that mysterious person whose face was not revealed, and caused a lot of speculation and excitement, about a year ago?
Nope, just barely, and I'm sure Kubo doesn't either. Lol

July 2012, ch 500, someone saves the gang in Hueco mundo, and then on a later chapter, he is seen partially standing there , helping Urahara.
Oddly enough, it was the chapter that started this thread.

That's not true at all. Whilst the L arc was much better than the second it still remained an amazing anime for its entirety.

That dialogue feels very out of place

So much for Ikkaku's pride that he used to have (back when he fought that arrancar and first revealed his bankai) in not allowing anyone to interfere in his fights or help him. Also looks like Yumichka no longer cares about hiding his use of kidou doing it in full view of everyone on the battlefield lol. Since Mayuri came to bail the two of em out i wonder if Ukitake might finish sipping his cup of tea soon and bail out Hisagi when he inevitably gets curb stomped by whoever he is fighting, bankai or no bankai (at this point only wanna see Hisagi's bankai purely out of curiosity cause ultimately its gonna end up being extremely weak compared to all the extreme power boosts that have been passed around lately). I'm most interested in seeing Shinsui's bankai, as I find his shikai bizarre and interesting, but given his recent promotion and now elevated status I'm sure we are months away still from seeing that happen.

as gotei turns again. short full page talk scenes just to introduce a group where each person will have one page of action in the next issue.

nothing happened, and it's not even the people we were all probably hoping for. looked like some weaklings ._.

It's Luppi, Chulhourne, etc..they're all numeros that were killed in Hueco Mundo...remember when Mayuri entered Szayel lab at the end of that fight and was excited? Szayel probably kept the bodies of these guys to experiment..something Mayuri took over. So it's not uncalled for, it was foreshadowed a *** time ago.

i know it's the people they fought before. when i say introduction i just mean to the current arc. it's weak *** arrancar that no one really cares about. more zzz boring ***. i get it was supposed to be a dramatic cliffhanger with a, "zomg look who it is!!!!", but i think most people are way past giving a ***about bringing back these scrubs.


show us the people we give a ***about and cut to ichigo fighting in the soul king palace. that's all that matters.

And that's why I love Mayuri. Always witty and always has something awesome going on behind the scenes. He's always been one of my favorites since the beginning.

wasn't impressed. felt like months of waiting were wasted

These badguys are terrible, can't sympathize with them at all unlike the Arrancar. I just want all of them to die so we can move on in the story

In another manga where the momentum was better, yesterday's last panels would be exciting, but Bleach will take a year to do anything with this.
