#1 You open the thread.
#2 You see it's created by Gaea.
#3 You hit backspace (or the back button on your browser).
Problem solved. You certainly don't have to whine about someone creating a thread, no matter what the thread is.
As for the birthdays on the site, sounds like a good idea to me. I like the birthday reminders on my LS's forum b/c I never remember birthdays.
