Thoughts? imo #3, #2, and #1 were quite surprising. Fast food is no good for you?
Part of me is glad that chicken nuggets aren't on that list, Unless I missed it; they're the only thing I do get from there.
It doesn't surprise me that the shakes are at the top, since they are just made out of sheep fat, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm surprised the list only states calories, while important it isn't the only thing that should be factored in a list of unhealthy food most salads are high in calories but are healthy.

Its about informing consumers about whats the worst on their menu. Additionally, most fast food chains have gone to the degree of providing healthier options since the debut of "Superize Size Me" in 2004. You just have to look out for the nutrition information easily available in-store or on the companies website. Edit: I'm glad the McNuggets didnt make the list. I love them with my sweet and sour sauce! Super Size Me came out some time ago, I guess these guys missed the memo.
Food is not the only thing to watch out for at McDonald's <.<
Liking some commercials though Chicken Nuggets (while tasty w/the hot mustard) are some of the most disgustingly produced "food" ever.
I can skin a deer and eat it no prob, clean a fish no prob etc, but after seeing what makes those up, I probably wont ever eat them again. My family eats fried tripe tacos... gag! Bahamut.Cuelebra said: » Caitsith.Sai said: » Chicken Nuggets (while tasty w/the hot mustard) are some of the most disgustingly produced "food" ever. Mmmmmm...Venison... /drools Yes, off topic I know, but it's a thread about McDonald's. /sigh While McDonalds is plenty unhealthy, their basis for the top 10 is rather stupid, imo.
They don't give any written info on why it's unhealthy or what in it is unhealthy, they're going strictly by number of calories. If that were the case, a grilled chicken breast, sweet potato, spinach, and some steamed vegetables are worse for you than a king sized snikers bar Sylph.Tigerwoods said: » While McDonalds is plenty unhealthy, their basis for the top 10 is rather stupid, imo. One of the world's most popular weight loss diets is based on not consuming carbohydrates for ***'s sake. While none of it is particularly good, if you compare the same sorts of "fast foods" found in your grocery (i.e. microwave-able, pre-made, pre-packaged foods) it's surprising how steeped in caloric intake, sodium, saturated fats, etc. those are, as well. It's a good idea to read the labels first. For sure that won't stop people from buying anything they really want to eat badly, but at least they will know what they are putting into their bodies. I sense so much hate towards McDonald's... Why they don't list taco bell cuz their food cost some people have diarrhea..
Damn all this bad food, why does it have to be so damned tasty..
Yeah calories are really kind of a nominal number these days. I had someone giving me grief about me ordering three chicken sandwiches at chick-fil-a the other day because it was like 1200 calories and other bad stuffs. I mean I knew them so I wasn't just mouthing off to a stranger. Two regular and one spicy if anyone is curious.
I'm not exactly thin, but I'm far from fat. I work outside all day and am a very solid 275 (I'm 6'2" <.<; so not just short and round, tall and broad chested ('-'b). Had to break it to her if I was judging by calories alone I burn at least 3,000 in a normal work day just from how much I move and sweat. While eating healthy is a big step, seems the world has forgotten that the more you move and do ***, the worse you can eat and get away with it. Food has eclipsed even marginal exercise for far too long. You can't just change your diet and lose weight permanently. Can't top Wendy's Finger licking Chilli.
http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/food/2005-05-13-wendys-finger_x.htm They shoulda done Wendy's really. Triple Baconator, 1330 calories of artery clogging deliciousness. Try to make sure I eat at least one of these a year

I mean, sure, you obviously increase your bio-*** capacity with a more rigorous physical lifestyle, but there's no substitution for responsible ingestion. While both are certainly advisable, a proper diet is immensely more important than above-average physical activity. Sylph.Tigerwoods said: » They shoulda done Wendy's really. But, those with a higher physical output tend to be able to eat unhealthier and keep weight off. Not talking about heart problems/stroke/etc etc, just meant as far as weight alone goes. We don't have like any of those items at Mc.D here in norway >_>
