Anyone Have Dish Network?

My grandma been flipping out for the past hour (really ***isn't that serious) about having to manually put in tv channels.

All her spanish channels are in the 825 range, 825, 826, 827, etc. but if she presses channel up or down, it skips down to channel 600something and up to 1400something and skips all the spanish channels so the only way she can get them on is by inputting them manually.

She pretty much already broke one of her remotes by throwing it and is really grouchy and not a pleasure to be around right now so I want to see if anyone knows how to remedy this problem

I don't. My only suggestion is browsing through the options given. I know on older TVs you used to have to program a TV at first by having it browse through the channels at a rapid rate and confirm/deny them. You could individually add or remove channels from there, and sometimes had to redo it when the networks changed their setups. There's probably some sort of function implemented to streamline it, or you may have to add them individually.

If you press the menu button repeatedly it alternates between listing all channels, channels you are subscribed to, and other combinations iirc.

that way you can swap out channels that are useless.

I typically only watch about a 4 channels when I do watch tv, unless a movie on a random channel is on.

(in the menus there's also subtitles, which I'm used to anyway and people *** when I turn movies up loud enough to hear people talk).

How do you do this? The only thing I saw was the ability to lock out channels, but there were 9000ish of them and didn't want to lock them all individually

I doubt there's that many, I mean the numbers go up that high, but I typically only see about 500~

(102-high 300's, then a whole bunch of channels above that, tbh there may be a bunch up there, but I never go to those).

but to do it by lists, the only way I remember is by individually adding per person, there may be a better way to do it, but I haven't played with it in at least 6 years.
