Very COR-specific technical issue I'm running into... when I'm in Omen, I get very frequent crashes when using Phantom Roll/Double Up (not every time but it's frequent). Anyone else run into this issue? It's kind of a big negative that my COR can't roll!
Running Windower 4.3 with some basic/common addons, but I've tried with addons/plugings disabled and still run into the same issues. Turned off all in game effects, still same problem.
PC is running Win7, hardware is: Intel i7-7400 Kaby Lake CPU, ASUS Z270 mobo, Geforce GTX 1050-Ti with current drivers.
I know it's kind of a longshot, but has anyone seen something similar?
Haven't had this issue in Omen, but I've had issues in other cases where I roll too fast after zoning/warping causing a crash. Perhaps allow a few seconds to pass before starting rolls will fix it if multiple cors aren't the issue.

Do you have other applications running in the background like Firefox? Sometimes temporary browser files get so huge in Win7 that the temp files begin to interfere with FFXI when zoning, rolling, gear changing, or when encountering a busy battlefield like Domain Invasion, Besieged, Walk of Echoes, etc.
If this is the case, you need to purge temp browser files manually in Win7 from time to time so browser temp files don't crowd out FFXI temp files and data files that contain macro set information.
You can find these huge, useless browser temp files using an app called Treesize Free at http://www.jam-software.de/treesize_free/?language=EN

I used this line for my GS file to handle Triple Shot. Place it in the "Job-specific hooks" section.
function job_post_midcast(spell, action, spellMap, eventArgs)
if spell.action_type == 'Ranged Attack' and state.Buff['Triple Shot'] then
equip(sets.buff['Triple Shot'])
end
end

Code function job_post_midcast(spell, action, spellMap, eventArgs)
if spell.action_type == 'Ranged Attack' then
if buffactive['Aftermath: Lv.3'] and player.equipment.ranged == "Armageddon" then
equip(sets.midcast.RA.Armageddon)
end
if buffactive['Triple Shot'] then
equip(sets.TripleShot)
end
end
end

No it does not. magic WSD is dependent solely on your MAB + WSC. You do the same damage using a Bronze Bullet as an Adluvion bullet. Orichalcum will do 2% (of base) more damage than any other bullet.

no,then it goes: DP > maxed skirmish gun > Molybdosis > not so maxed skirmish gun > Well auged Holliday > magic compensator > deathloke.
ohh empy gun most likly right after DP.

MAB is so much better than Mdmg for salute that it's not even worth considering Mdmg when it comes to your gun selection.
side note OTW to work I remembered a few posts about compensator v deathloke and IIRC deathloke wins out compensator by a little however, deathloke costs several million to make and compensator costs about 4-500kish so I would say it's not worth it because the money could be spent elsewhere for better results.

I can't say the exact ratio because I don't really spreadsheet or anything, but..... leaden spammers prefer, to my knowledge, MAB Atoyac over Vanir knife which is 12 AGI 10 MAB vs. 70 MDMG.

sort of, atoyac is really good for salute spam, but if you are meleeing for tp a 119 OAT usualy does better unless your atoyac is OAT and you don't need the acc.

Right, I was framing it only in terms of leaden salute damage though. Definitely an acc concern for those that melee for TP.
Edit: with the advent of the Hepatzion Rapier, that discussion is largely moot now. I was just setting it forward as an idea of how much MAB is worth compared to MDMG.

My LS mate recently brought up the theory of hot shot has the potential to be awesome being a hybrid WS like jinpu and flaming crush. So I decided to go out and and play with it for a bit:
On fodder:
Chaos/wizards roll + /sch firestorm, no fire shot damage bonus nor GEO buffs, 2000 tp ws:
On NM:
Chaos/wizards roll + /sch firestorm on watersday (so it cancels out), idris frailty/malaise, 3000 tp ws, used fireshot before WS, no gambit rayke. Used every temp except solderis drink.
At 1000 tp insead of 3000, same buffs:
Anyone have recommendations or testimonials on practical applications of this WS? Omen objective proc for those without dp? apex mobs? Are there any NM or content that's effective to use it on?

What gearset used Afania? i wanna test aswell.
I have 0 idea how to gear hybrid WS effectively since I haven't look into it, so I just use my regular WF set with mab and last stand back:
ItemSet 330505
Augments: Head: MAB+47, legs: MAB+50, feet: MAB+42, back: AGI+30, racc/rattk+20, WSD+10%. Carmine hands D. Obi for waist if storm is up.
I've tried both aeonic gun and AG arma, not sure which is better yet. Also tried MAB/tp bonus moonshade at low tp. My magical ws set also has low attack and racc, which results quite a bit of whiff on NMs. Any advice on gears?
Edit: Now that I think about it, shoulda use regal ring. I'm not sure about every other gears though.
Edit2: Should I use fotia neck instead?

I messed around with this a few weeks ago, but I couldn't think of any practical applications minus maybe the 30k objective- though I'm pretty sure that's doable with non-DP Leaden (though it's been awhile since I've used COR in Omen, and I don't really intend on using neither it nor RNG again for it).

Do you think it can be a valid replacement to wildfire for fire damage on lower lv NM? Since the damage ceiling does beat wildfire for now, I normally need soldier's drink or bolster to hit 70k+ wf in escha. I haven't really try it on other NMs outside of escha T1s, nor actually build sets for it.
Edit 3: Will THFs start subbing COR for hot shot build now.

The diversity of buffs needed to make it hit the particularly high numbers, the dependency on physical accuracy, and the generally less desirable SC attributes make it often a bit inconvenient. It wouldn't be too hard to use on lowish level stuff, though.

Yeah I definitely agree with all of the above. The damage is pretty inconsistent too. That's why I post for testimonials on other NMs :p

Can a non rmea cor without Wizards roll or warlocks or SCH sub job break 30k with wildfire or leaden salute in omen with any level of reliability/consistency?
With geo yes.

Geo using malaise, however if you just returning as cor you are likly not gonna hit 30k w/o idris geo, occasionally in omen I forget to switch back to DP on second run and with a nicly augmented Holliday I only hit 28-29k with 3ktp and this is with still using DP bullets.
was on a card run the other day not as cor and another guy who has seen me get the 30k hit so often as cor was like ohh I got this, but all he could hit was 18k.

If you don't have a geo have someone open a skillchain for you to close with either of those.

In Omen we always do malaise for the 30k and then switch to def-. It only takes the GEO like 5 seconds to swap bubbles.
when you close a sc it counts towards the 30k.
