That'd be hilarious since along with Sphere effects that was what they said NO, not possible to, when asked on the RDM forums.
But honestly, wtf else could a job with a sword and magic do that blu doesn't already? or a Gsword that drk doesn't already? crazy en-spells specialty lol. That's my only guess.

Alas, many discussed things were more or less concepts that stayed in that stage and never entered implementation. Unfortunately all we really got out of their vague vision were footwork and tier 2 enspells :/
SE's pulling out their big guns with this expansion no doubt, but I think the hardest part is making sure there is still demand and reason to play the existing 20 jobs that are already out.

Don't know if anybody has mentioned this, tl;dr, but what about the 2nd job being Onion Knight? If Mystic Knight is a candidate I'd say Onion Knight should be... I mean we start the game with Onion weapons after all XD.

I really dont care about individual developers of any game. The only reason I know who Tanaka is is the hatred he receives on this site.
He ran the JP Button blog and has always been an active community member when it came to translating the latest news.
He also did a lot of really good gameplay research too.
