Be very, very careful what you /toss.
Be glad you didn't toss an emp, because if their solution would be to give me a 90 version after I did some heavy metal plates, that ***would not go over well lol
Yeah, I can't even imagine the pain of losing a lv99 :/
Btw, I called Qeepel a "she", and was informed that was in fact a "he", lol. Was still really nice either way. I feel a little bad for getting annoyed (not that I was ever straight out rude to the gm) now =( I kinda get the feeling they're just fed scrips and told not to deviate from them. Congrats! Bet you're going to be VERY careful about dropping anything ever again :p
Would love to hear if you are able to successfully upgrade the replacement to 95. Am glad to hear your persistence paid off!

I still think SE needs to fix their ***... My mind is hurting trying to think of a technical reason for being able to restore the 90 but not a 95 or higher. They need to do some upgrades to the system to help ensure the best customer service. If I get hacked after getting my 99 almace, am I going to be able to roll back my account? If so why not? What happens if a server catches on fire? Can they not restore the back up? Hope so or everyone is going to loose anything above a 90... I just cannot think of a valid reason for this. I guess what really bugs me is SE's support staff (in game and out) being completely inconsistent on nearly everything. Yes, I was able to get the trial, complete it, and upgrade it to Lv95. Sucks a little but at least it was the easiest trial to finish. Would've been pretty bleh to restart at lv75. =(

Good to hear you got it back. I've been lurking this thread since it was created and have had the most sympathetic feelings towards the whole situation after reading everything. I knew nobody wanted to hear that so I didn't bother posting.
I know exactly what it feels like to drop something you didn't intend to, and when I read the op, I myself let out a huge involuntary and unavoidable gasp when I saw the mention of the Mandau leaving instead of the great axe. It struck me with such feeling reading that, knowing I couldn't begin to imagine being in that position. I then read every other post wanting to see what happened, and I followed as the days passed seeing your struggle with the GMs. And I must say; it's an incredible relief to even I, someone not involved in any way, shape, or form, to see what you worked so hard for finally returned. It's funny, really.. Call me weird or crazy, but I feel like I've been apart of this all along and can finally rest the slightest bit easier knowing this has come to a positive ending.. Damn.. this whole situation would make an awesome Disney movie. Seriously, though, congratz and best of luck~ grats!!!
i was just about to post that a GM told me that they CAN restore a relic .. (whilst discussing other options which results in me having to write a letter) Shiva.Dourid said: » Damn.. this whole situation would make an awesome Disney movie. No & -----> was this your 1 time item restore?
Thanks for the nice sentiments. And yeah, it counted as my 1 time restore, although I had a character restoration in like 2005 or something, which I was pretty glad they seemed to have forgotten about >_> Although that might've been before they even started the "1 time restore per account" thing.
As an above poster already said, they should have an item restore on RARE/EX items and have it last only 12 hours. After that you are screwed. Like a recycle bin or what have you.
This would save them tons of GM calls, emails and written letters, that they would have to eventually answer. Granted this would not apply to quest items/pop items, or anything else, other then equipment. I don't really see how hard this would be to implement into the game. It would be nothing more then a restore from xx hours ago. Simply request it and then log out for 15 minutes or so then log in and boom no problems! You are restored to what you had so many hours ago. That would be a very handy system, and can't possibly be that hard to do if they run a daily backup system (which I really hope they do >_>)
If anything, we should easily be able to request a rollback to the last backup. Or you could just pay attention to what you're doing. It's not that damn hard.
