Don't people see that removing the way that RMTs are at least somewhat legitimately making gil is just going to push them into a different direction that could potentially hurt players?

I can't believe how dumb some people are being about this.

People always have to whine all over port jeuno if you sell something via /shout.. Any rare/ex lottable item in order to trash your sales, they just can't afford it and start to shout crap.

There are a myriad of possible productive sources of income. Your friends are stubborn, stupid, or both. Their issue is isolated, and the force that they're staunchly defying is a mostly positive one for your server. You're being infinitely more shortsighted than anyone you're accusing of such behavior.

Presumptuous accusations, really. It's the principle of being forced out of what you're accustomed to, having to reestablish somewhere else, only to be forced out again. It's a vicious cycle. I'm curious to know how many people need to be affected by something for it to be officially labelled as an issue.

You realize you're essentially professing the definition of "stubbornness" as some sort of admirable quality, correct?

I'm not presuming a damned thing. Your friends have alternatives, and instead of taking advantage of them, they're complacent with being unproductive. RMT in their current form are excellent for a lot of in-game reasons. Your friends' minor, self-inflicted inconvenience is irrelevant.

No, this is one zone, and it has been used for the past year, and people enjoy this service. The only people that don't, are the greedy and uninformed. There are other options, people just don't use them.

If your friends can't cleave somewhere else, that's there problem. There are 8 other abyssea zones with cleavable monsters.

I'm not even going to bother to fix the obvious grammatical error.
Kudos, Fupa for being voice of reason!

What's the difference between me going out and cleaving your friend's mobs vs an RMT group?

The concept of nefarious gains, surrogate and unjustifiable practice in a given situation - just disrupting the balance of normality.
So basically just the fact that one sells gil and the other doesn't.

I don't see this thread going anywhere, anymore, so I'm just going to lock it.
