Yeah ultra greatswords like that are very nice for stunning but they are very easy to parry

Crap video but it shows how you do it. It's good to have a shield and face the edge so they can't accidentally push you off. With your shield raised you'll block when they fall on it and they'll be sent over the edge

And yea, i havent killed the gargoyles yet, shits a bit crazy atm in my house so i cant quite play my Xbox :<
so...by completely superleveling my STR and twohanding my broadsword+3..i've killed the gargoyles >_>;
