Few questions. I'm currently SL71, and I'm farming souls in the new londo (i'm beign summoned to kill four kings, gives 30k). Right now i have about 600k souls to spend, but I'm afraid to lvl up and be out of the summon range. (+/-15 sl?) I wanted to know what's the average SL ppl kill four kings with. (So I know if I can lvl or not) Second question, is about weapons, looking to upgrade the ultra greatsword "Greatsword". The +15 normal version gives 325 phys dmg, and C STR and D dex. I wanted to know if this would be better in term of dmg to make a fire one (312 phys and 312 mag dmg, but no ratings in dex or str). I don't really know how the scale works, so what would be better between 325phsy dmg, C str D dex, vs 315phy/magical dmg. Thank you! The 325 physical isn't accounting for scaling damage.
It comes down to whether you want to invest more stats into scaling stats or put them in VIT and END. If the former, go for +15. If the later, +5 Lightning/Chaos. Summoning range = SLv(+/-)SLv*0.1+10 Sunlight Warriors have a larger summon range, but I can't be assed to look it up. >_> Atm, my stats suck, I have 40 VIT and 40 END, and only 14STR/DEX.
It's my first playthrough, and I wasn't sure if i wanted to play sneaky style with a light weapon, or a with strong chara. The GS require about 28 STR, and now all my poitn will go to str. The fire +10 has better stats than the chaos one, but I assume you can upgrade chaos to +5/10 as well? And which is the best weapon besides those 3 : Claymore, Greatsword, and black knight sword? (assuming full augment) For a NG+ or high end content? They all have same-ish move, and i can't decide myself over those three. Chaos branches off of Fire path. It also gets a damage boost from having humanity in the counter. 10 humanity will increase the damage to its maximum.
If you're playing into NG+ and beyond, my suggestion is to get minimum stats to one hand a weapon of your choice, take it down an elemental path, then pump VIT and END. As END goes up, start putting on heavier armor as long as you can fast roll. Once you cap those, start putting points into scaling for the weapon you prefer (you'll get another one in NG+) and make a +15 version of it. Best weapon is style dependent. I just don't think it will be as well integrated as dark souls. I know almost nothing about the game, so don't change your opinion about DS2 because of my thoughts~ Imo, it shouldnt matter what it is as long as its relevant to the story. What I dont understand is why they are asking us what the tag line should be. We know nothing of the story so how could we make an name for it based on nothing. For all we know, Into the beyond could be the best suited one of the bunch. I want more dark souls 2 news ._.

I kind of don't want Dark Souls 2 to come out because I can just see the ensuing ***storm of complaints coming as the series continues...
If it comes out and it proves to be dark souls material (I'll be completely shocked to be honest), then I think they could make a 3rd or 4th np.
They trolled us with the pendant in dark souls 1, they could have done the same to get all the fans worried with their hits and bits of information that we are all surprised when 2 is finally released. I mean... they even have the pendant swinging in the background~ http://www.darksoulsii.com/ Siren.Kalilla said: » If it comes out and it proves to be dark souls material (I'll be completely shocked to be honest), then I think they could make a 3rd or 4th np. So, this invader has hacked infinite stamina and 99 all stats and STILL needs Elizabeth Mushrooms to beat me.
Then taunts after a seven minute battle of me outplaying them in everyway: parrying, backstabbing and infinite comboing them before I finally die. >_> Alright first playthru complete..75 hours (<.<). Trying to decide whether to continue with NG+ or just start over with a new job. NG+ is kind of a joke atm I'm level 109 and I dont think the enemies will be putting up a decent fight for quite some time. It is fun killing invaders and all but yeah.
So I finally got to try out the DLC.
After killing the first boss and entering the royal garden, my first impression was just.. wow. I got chills. I mean, I can hear the sounds of birds singing, the wind blowing through the trees, it's super vast, and really beautifull. It's a "new" feeling, because I couldn't picture such an atmosphere in dark soul. And that's when you start thinking "This isn't Dark Soul, it's too oniric!", that you run into your first death. Bam, the first giant swing his Hammer at me and take off half of my health, you get invaded, run into hole/trap, (I'm pretty sure you guyz can figure which hole I'm talkign about, you see a glowing item on a cliff, surounded by few mobs, and some holes, and when you take the final turn to the item, BAM, secret hidden hole). "Yes, It's still darksoul" I just discovered the arena for PvP, I don't know if ppl use this feature a lot, but it looks really cool. Anyway, I really enjoy the atmosphere of the dlc. I wish developer will keep it that way for DS2. Man I love this game. So, I was walking out of Tomb of the Giants (which is a terrible, terrible trip in reverse), and my friend who I was playing with had been dicking around in the Catacombs while I was down in the Tomb. He placed an Eye of Death, and when I got up to the Catacombs, the gravelord phantom skeletons and wheels were there. I didn't feel like fighting through them because we just wanted to go co-op another area, so I tried just running past them.
It didn't work, and it didn't work several times. He had died and eventually left for Darkroot, but the phantoms persisted, so I assumed that some other Gravelord was mucking about in the area. Since running wasn't working with them around, I decided to go offline. When I reloaded in offline mode, the phantoms were still there! Is that normal? How would I get rid of them if I'm in offline mode? what platform are you playing on?
You could just kill them.
Shiva.Viciousss said: » You could just kill them. Wait, I can? >< Of course I can. But they'll come back. The spirit of the post was wondering if I'm now bugged with a permanently EoD'd Catacombs for this playthrough. The normal way to get rid of red mobs is to invade the person who placed the Eye of Death, but I obviously can't do that. But thanks! Siren.Kalilla said: » what platform are you playing on?
