I haven't killed him yet, so if you want then that's fine.
No real reason not to since it's extra souls and a chance at his gear for you. When I said my sign is in the hall way I ment between the door and the bonfire, not where the slimes are if that matters at all.

Yeah... I got into Blighttown, killed the first thing with the mace, then someone invaded me and used some OP magic that 2-shotted me and has a pretty far range. Like a shockwave thing.
Yeah, it was his last resort because I was going to kill him. lol
Josiahfk, in the video you posted killing those 2 things, what class is that?
Edit: Well seeing the description on youtube saying "Pyromancy" im going to assume Pyromancer lol. As in, job class? Class is entirely irrelevant in Dark Souls. Starting class modifies your starting level/stats and equipment only. Any class can equip any armor or weapon or magic, and they function the same way.

There's nothing exclusive besides a pendant that has no uses and isn't found in the normal game. It's a starting item called a "Gift"; all classes get one and have the same options to pick from.

Edit: Asylum Demon down! Welcome to Dark Souls :D You can get the pendant in game in various ways actually. Rhea of Thorolund has one and it's one of the rewards for a successful Forest Hunter invasion.
