Try firebombs if you're gonna do ranged, they work better than arrows (easily blocked)

Would they actually work on them? Black Knights are very strong against fire, it's part of their lore.
No sword :o oh well, and fire bombs were doing 40 to him.
Yeah it works lol, just need to watch out since you're stuck for a sec when you throw them
Firebombs work pretty well on "higher level" things when you're just starting the game since you won't be doing much damage.
That actually would be cool jos, what if Dark Souls 2 will have the enemies recognize that they are near death and will fight for survival?

Parry (L2) the blow then attack assuming the riposte is what I think it is and not something else. It needs to be parried so you take no damage though not partial.
I just got through Blight Town for the first time. My friends kept telling me how terrible it was. I started it and it seemed pretty easy after the first path. I thought they were crazy.

I liked the moving bridges... the first time I wasn't expecting it and I just dashed across thinking it was about to fall out from under me. Some how I didn't fall off which I was proud of, then I fell to an unrelated death not long after.
