Dark Souls & other Souls-Likes
How was he for you? :O
So far Dark Souls 2 SOTFS is fun. I played it back when it first came out on ps3 and hated it but now I find myself wanting to play it more and more. Maybe because I've never played it and have no idea whats going to come next.
Only complaint is the fall damage is too gotdang high. A fall that would barely damage me in DS1 kills me in DS2 -.- Encountered an interesting happenstance with buddy summoning in DS3.
Was trying to summon Dameion so he could protect me in the forest/help me slay the exiles. We sat around for an hour and a half, then we tried various things to try and make his sign appear. Even fought forward to a different bonfire. Nothing worked. I got curious about it, so I walked out into the water towards the giant crabs. An NPC invader is supposed to invade you as a Watchdog of Farron. She did not. I'm not sure what's wrong, but I can't be invaded or summon hehe. Honestly, that sounds like you weren't embered.
It would have been neat if it'd been that simple. Except I was embered. When I removed the password I could see dozens of summon signs. We tried different passwords, I let him decide the passwords.
Okay, that's pretty odd. I've heard people report that they've sometimes had trouble summoning a friend with a password with less than 8 characters. Might want to try that. The system can be pretty wonky sometimes.

A fall that would barely damage me in DS1 kills me in DS2 -.- I bought it when it came out but my only death so far is from increased fall damage like you described. I could survive the jump I did in game in real life, and my char died lol ***. Battle hardened mutated warrior? Trip to your death off a 4-foot high cliff I liked the fire demon thing, after one of the bosses, think it was the skeleton.
I was finding him annoying so just ran by him and noticed him damage the enemies who proceeded to swarm him. I then ran back and attacked where I could, being careful not to hit the other enemies. Teamwork with the enemy! Decided to read the 1.04 patch notes for online play in DS3.
"A note to Dark Souls 3 players trying to use matching passwords. An extended amount of time may be required before the match connects if: - There is a large gap between the level of the players - There are a large amount of players online in the same area. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." Lol, asked Dameion the level of his guy, "I'm level 115." 88 levels is a large gap Q.Q Also on the topic of fall damage in DS2... I full timed the Silvercat ring.

Point is Kite was like 80+ levels lower then me and could summon me just fine lol.
I demand you give me your devil magick Isack.
What's the point of dipping your head in the wax at the great archives in ds3? My cousin asked me but I haven't played so I dunno what to tell her >.>

Wax is highly versatile, and has been used for hundreds of years as a sealant/stain proofing agent. You don't coat your whole body though, so my guess would be, since it makes you look like one of the dudes in the library, the hands aren't hostile towards you.

I only dunked my head in wax on my first playthrough because I thought it looked hilarious. >.> Wasn't even aware of what it did.
Ds2 is full of trolls -.- all these "illusory walls ahead" messages. or my personal favorite with 94 likes: "Tongue but hole"
