[dev1122] Voidwatch Adjustments
By Enuyasha 2012-05-26 15:30:44
I hear people bitching about greed, etc. But what is the difference between spamming for tickets compared to spamming H.M. Pouches.
Edit: Really why PMS because you had crap luck with a body and don't want to pay gil for it. Put the time in like the rest of us and it will come if you rather not pay.
well, for those of us that have put the time in but still dont like how people instantly revert to "i can make money off this"
but yea, everybodies just bitchin' cause we cant get items cause we dont want to pay ridiculus prices for a piece of gear. Also, you missed how it takes almost a few mils to straight up buy 30-50 forgottens to get maybe 3 more stats on the relic+2.

3) Keep Left over Forgotten items
4) Buy needed Forgotten items
5) Repeat as needed.

Um.
Some relic+2 is vastly improved, and then there's the option to augment them for those pieces which have awesome augments (DNC legs, SCH feet, etc.)
Argute Mortarboard for example, is 5% cast/recast.
Argute Mortarboard +2 is 10% cast/recast.
Worth 2mil to me!

Like it or not, there are plenty of Relic+2 pieces that are best in slot.

FFXI isn't a charity.
ABC's, Alexandrite, Dynamis Currency, Heavy Metal Plates all cost gil. It's part of the game.

So your argument is that we should just give it all away freely?

I sincerely hope that while youre on ninja youre only using it as a long distance enfeebler, like what SE meant it to be and not the role the playerbase imposed on it.
I was going to say something much ruder, but then I decided to tone it down.

wtf nothing is free. Things just don't magically appear in a person's inventory. There is no reason to just give things away.

So your argument is that we should just give it all away freely? argument is that the first place players look when they look at new items other people are going to use for equipment shouldn't be "im going to make massive money off this, so why not sell it for an amount that en mass is alot more than it actually needs to be"

That's because JPs with capped gil from Tav safehold glitch will pay anything.

I was going to say something much ruder, but then I decided to tone it down. You can craft your own tools....and even as a ranged job you'd be using said tools. Doesnt mean tools should be sold at xK's per bag.
and derp everyone apparently who has something to gain from this is joining in on the arguement...better use the escape hatch now.

I have nothing to gain from this.
I don't do dynamis.
I just buy forgotten items.

Since when were forgotten items overpriced? They're fine. They aren't unbelievably common on a per-dynamis run, they deserve to be more expensive than currency. If people can't make 1-2m to make a +2 piece, then they should learn how to play an economy properly.

I was wondering...why is the npc in Jugner? That's an odd place, these trades must be really shady.

| Hey everyone,
The development team gave us some insight regarding your request to make Voiddust stackable. The original system was developed so that your Voidstone stock would be replenished over time.
Voiddust was created as an alternative solution for those who are just starting Voidwatch or do not have enough stock to participate. In order to keep the main objective of this alternative viable (helping those that wish to participate but lack Voidstones), we currently have no plans to make Voiddust stackable. | |

Maybe I am misreading that. Is that saying because they want to keep the main objective of being able to help people viable, they do not plan on making them stack? Makes no sense to me unless someone can explain.

| [dev1122] Voidwatch Adjustments
The following enemy weakness adjustments, formerly exclusive to the final chapter of Voidwatch, will apply to all jurisdictions.
- Triggering weaknesses will lower enemies’ attack and magic attack power.
- Abilities and spells learned via merit points will not trigger enemy weaknesses.
- The thief ability Bully will trigger enemy weaknesses.
- All pet special attacks will be able to strike enemy weaknesses.
- The ranger ability Bounty Shot will not trigger enemy weaknesses.
- Wyvern breath attacks will not trigger enemy weaknesses.
- Only a single blood pact for each avatar will trigger enemy weaknesses:
- Carbuncle: Holy Mist
- Fenrir: Lunar Bay
- Ifrit: Fire IV
- Shiva: Blizzard IV
- Garuda: Aero IV
- Titan: Stone IV
- Ramuh: Thunder IV
- Leviathan: Water IV
- Diabolos: Night Terror
- All automation abilities and special attacks will trigger enemy weaknesses.
- The scholar ability Modus Veritas will not trigger enemy weaknesses.
*The spells and abilities that will no longer trigger enemy weaknesses will be replaced with other ones usable by the same job so that each job's chance of triggering weaknesses remains relatively unchanged.
