Hm. What would I like to see from those...

Waktza: Brown Out (a potent Slow would be decent utility for UL) or Crashing Thunder (potent magic defense down). Most likely - Static Prison because we need more dispels ofc.

Yggdreant: Firefly Fandango (potent paralyze and a long lasting flash wouldn't be bad either if the cost is low), Root of the Problem (1000TP drain and a beneficial effect steal wouldn't be a terrible use of UL), or Tiiimbeeer (the name mostly, but all stats down is something I've wanted for some time). Mostly likely - Uproot because yes.

Cehuetzi: Brain Freeze (haven't got Amnesia yet) or Glassy Nova (again, all stats down. can remove the all dispel since we have that already and it'd be completely fine). Most likely - Permafrost Requiem cuz we totally need more Terror ULs

Honestly it's hard to pick from a lot of the TP moves out of these monster types. They either have too many effects that SE would never give them to us or they're too boring to even care about.

I'm expecting Uproot/Crashing Thunder/Polar Roar to follow the pattern of the first 3 being the abilities that put the corresponding NM's aura up.

Potential monsters we can get stuff from (only listing things that appear in Adoulin): Mantids, Yztarg, Iron Giants, Dullahans, Fluterrini, Leafkin, Heartwings, Snapweeds, Tulfaires, Raaz, Cehuetzi, Yggdreants, and Waktzas.

Less likely (reskins): Red raptors, lapinions

I don't even know what attacks the Dullahans have since I've only fought one once and no one has ever compiled a list, but I seem to recall them having badass names and nice effects. I'll have to go experiment in Ra'Kaznar later.

Meh. Polar Roar would be terrible but the other two could be useful.

I still want:

Restoral - Cure V self target only (our first cure was pollen, let's make our last cure self-only too).

Mighty Gaurd - Protect and Shell, at least IV level.

I remember Prothscar posted his ideal UL list a while back. I wish SE would look at it. They don't seem to understand that if you make all the UL spells really good then it's actually a tough choice and one that's situation to situation based, every 5 minutes. Which is ideal to me too.

It would be nice if they modified Battery Charge to use blue magic skill as a determinate for how much Refresh you get, too. With them fixing COR rolls, I don't see why not do this too. Even 1 refresh for every 100 skill wouldn't be bad.

Really excited, I hope we get a good physical spell. Don't really care for a new cure, with the additional set points I use White Wind now and have room for Hp gear so I heal for about 900 hp on myself.

I have to agree it will be keeping with the trend of WKR/Delve MB aura moves. But part of me would really like to see BLU get Glacial Tomb. Frozen Shuriken animation, yes please.

Any worth to getting STR+8 augment on Buremte hands? STR+17 and Acc+20 sounds very nice for spells and works with plenty of jobs too! Also, any augments on Kaabnax trousers worth it? Even if it's just for spells?

ItemSet 325120

some of the items are a bit of a pain in the *** to get now. comes out to 819HP healed, or 5.65HP healed per MP spent solo; 16.95HP healed per MP spent if hitting at least 3 people, 33.9HP healed per MP spent if you hit a full 6. In contrast, Magic Fruit with the set in the OP (which probably needs to be updated) heals for 640 (not including cure potency on cures received gear; 706 9.81 with that), coming out to 8.89HP per MP spent. Plenilune Embrace heals for 766, or 7.23HP per MP spent (and the small attack/matk boosts).

tl;dr White Wind is only good if you're hitting at least two people with it for nearly the max amount of HP that it heals. Don't use it solo.

I saw that rdm and geo are receiving more spells but not blu. Where did they say this or are we just assuming? I'm cool with whatever as long as I get to keep seeing blu wishlists... Something I enjoy reading.

I slap on Cassie Earring instead of Ethereal, does Convert MP to HP gear not work with White Wind's calculation?

Also, Aenotherus Mantle instead of the 4% Cure Potency back. Dualism Collar instead of the 4% neck. Do you know at what HP values and cure values is Cure Potency % better than a chunk of HP?

One thing I'm really impressed with is the Homestead Blade. I always offhand it in Reives and WKR. With Ulmia and a couple of tiers of Dual Wield, you can easily skillchain off yourself. Requiscat > Chant du Cygne is what I've been doing for Darkness. It's just so sexy to WS and already be at 500 TP. 2-3 rounds of attacks and you're already back to 1000 to finish the skillchain.

I notice some jobs are using alternate WS at high TP post update, do we have anything like that? Or just stick with req/cdc/sb? Savage blade seems to hit pretty hard at 300tp but idk if it's better on average than cdc.

Dual-wield homestead blade/homestead wand + sanguine blade spam is pretty nice.

That's nice, but I whipped out my ToM two 4x attack swords. They hit weak, but as Sblade is Mab Based I am getting 1000+ tp every three rounds and a full cure on WS.

not bothering mathing out the exact HP:Potency ratio, but potency > HP for any slot we currently have potency in for complete sets.

That isn't true, I mixed and matched HP+ and potency+ and some amount of HP+ came up higher than the potency. Yes the cassie earring works, and upsurge earring as well. I use both in my set.

Well then the White Wind formula has changed, cuz maths are telling me that locket, weatherspoon, oretania, and desultor are BiS outside of self potency (which is mostly irrelevant for this spell). Haven't checked Chelona body

Using 1800HP as a base:

Potency
1800 + 45 + 71 + 55 + 50 + 86 + 35 + 75 + 90 + 20 + 25 = 2352 * 1.07 = 2517

2517/7 = 359
359*2 = 718
718 * 1.22 = 875

Less Potency
Weatherspoon gloves (because it'd be stupid not to use these)
Bloodbead Gorget, Aenotherus Mantle, Osmium Cuisses

1800 + 45 + 71 + 60 + 55 + 50 + 86 + 35 + 75 + 90 + 95 + 110 = 2572 * 1.07 = 2752

2752/7 = 393
393*2 = 786
786 * 1.09 = 856

I thought you didn't math out the exact HP:Potency ratio? I use my desultor for barrage so I had magavan slops. I checked magavan vs HP+ legs, Osmium cuisses, which are +110 HP and they came out better. Same for chelona vs HP+ body. Same with back vs hp mantle.

1800 + 45 + 71 + 55 + 50 + 86 + 35 + 75 + 90 + 95 + 110 = 2512 * 1.07 = 2688

2688/7 = 384
384*2 = 768
768*1.13 = 867

So something is amiss because that combination shouldn't be coming out better, they may have changed rounding in one of the steps or something similar.

When I tested it, it was on myself yes. Knocked my HP down far enough to get the full cure, cured using x HP piece then knocked HP down again and cured using x potency piece and the HP piece won out.

Probably tons of time repeated in this topic, and I'm sorry to ask again.
With full DD spells set, is there any chance to complete a MB with BA?
Im using most of the times darkness with CDC>ParalyzingTriad or Req>QC.

Thanks

I mean you could if you really wanted to, but the damage would be pretty poor unless you're MBing something like Gates of Hades on a Light, and even then it's questionable whether it'd be worth the time and MP expenditure.

He keeps it pretty well updated from what I have seen there is debate on some gear but its about trade offs.

I follow it pretty religiously, or at least I did. Just back from a 3 month hiatus! Thanks for all your hard work Prothescar!
