Question about BLU... coming back from a long time break so I'm not sure what gear is best nowadays.

Should I be using (for physical spells) Mirage+2 Head for BLU skill/str or Aetosaur head for the str/dex? Same with Aetosaur body over magus jubbah and Aetosaur legs over mavi tayt+2?

Just not sure at what point blu skill is surpassed by str/dex.

I can't get the new AF and stuff yet so this is what I currently have to work with. I can clearly read the guide I just wonder if the BLU skill stuff is better than what I can afford now.

jerkin works until you can get assimilator jubbah, aetosaur legs work for STR/VIT, STR/MND, and AGI spells until Manibozho and Quiahuiz. Keep Tayt around for STR/DEX spells (until Mani) and Efflux.

Miniscule, biggest boost is when single wielding.

Sylph.Hyunkyl said: »
With some haste augments on 115 armor, any way to get Thurandaut+1 hat to fit in the sets?

Wasn't phased out due to lack of haste really. Will need to remath and see if anything has changed, but I suspect it's still useless.

SO i reallllllyyyy dont want to come off as an idiot but since tizona will be done in 3 weeks, does the offhand sword get different consideration at that point?

Not particularly, double attack loses even more value due to aftermath though so STR Uson may come out on top, haven't done any tizona-related comparisons though.

Would you be willing to? I'm not stupid just never really sat down to learn the ins and outs of all the math, etc.

Yeah sure if I get time, but it probably won't be for a while.

Also would Quiahuiz Trousers or Kaabnax Trousers replace Manibozo legs for physical spells? If so what augs would be needed to do so?

Manibozho would still be ever so slightly superior to Kaabnax/Quiahuiz for STR/DEX spells if you put 8DEX on them. Adding more STR or VIT to Kaabnax would make them better for STR/VIT spells. 8MND on Quiahuiz would still be best since that would benefit STR/MND spells in addition to Requiescat.

Sorry to keep bothering but it seems OAT might be 40%~ would that put Xiutleato back as best offhand(maybe more so with tizona main)?

You lose a great deal of accuracy and attack for offhand (58~59 of each) in addition to 14 base damage in exchange for the OAT. You can either mitigate part of the acc hit by adding a small amount of ACC, or add 4% crit rate, but... honestly, I don't see it being worth it for any high end content. Fun toy for lower tier stuff though where the loss of accuracy isn't a big deal, but keep in mind that the value of OAT is diminished on BLU due to our already high attack frequency.

is that normal?
On Achuka? That was a 2-time thing back-to-back, so I imagine it's just a certain HP% he takes increased magic/dark magic damage or something (it died really fast so I could only get a few WSs off). Most were hanging around 3-3.5k. Got 118 total MAB on Hagondes and was using Anahera/Gabaxorea

Couldn't tell you, I haven't done much since the update. First used it on rabbits in Ceizak and was doing 5k, though.

They also increased the modifiers to Sanguine Blade in today's update, didn't they? It's got increased damage like a bunch of other weaponskills?

What is the spell set normally used for dyna nowadays? Couldn't find it in OP but I admittedly didn't look through the tread.

The set I use is:

Double Attack:
Empty Thrash
Heavy Strike

Dual Wield 3:
Animating Wail
Blazing Bound
Quadratic Continuum
Delta Thrust
Mortal Ray
Barbed Crescent

Treasure Hunter:
Charged Whisker
Everyone's Grudge
Amorphic Spikes

Store TP: (debatable with TP changes)
Fantod
Sudden Lunge

Utility:
Magic Fruit
Battery Charge
Paralyzing Triad (skillchaining with CDC)

You can obviously set other spells if you have the extra set points or other needs, but this setup nets me 350-450 coins on DC mobs and I rarely find myself needing MP or lacking for damage/survival.

I think I used to drop DW3 to 2 to fit some more spells but that looks close to what I used to use. Thanks! At least now I have a template to work from instead of shooting in the dark lol

You lose a lot of DPS (ya I know it's dyna fodder) by dropping to DW2. If you aren't setting DW3, don't bother setting anything, though, /DNC gives you DW2 anyway.

Ohhh ok. I'm a bit rusty here lol, thanks for the clarification though. I don't have/use CDC, so I'll prob drop triad for dart or whirl or something.

If only considering BLU:

8DEX on Uk'uxkaj cap (CDC)
8MND on Buremte gloves (Req, STR/MND spells, and Magic Fruit; 8DEX puts them almost on par with Luhlaza+1 for CDC)
8MND on Quiahuiz trousers (Req, STR/MND spells, etc.)
4% Critical Hit Rate and Occ. Attacks Twice on Xiutleato (toy for low level things, roughly anything below iLvl 116)

Xiutleato with +45 acc could also be used offhand for situations where you are spamming ranged blu physical spells like glut dart, and need more accuracy (AA TT difficult+ as an example).

More than likely, anything evasive enough to warrant changing offhands you wouldn't want to be casting on either way.

Not sure I agree, glut dart spam on AA TT difficult parses slightly lower (or higher, depending on the rng) than non-relic 119 ranger - so gearing for that and applying the proper accuracy to compensate for the evasion helps.

So new spells in July, probably getting something from Raaz, Snapweeds, and Tulfaires. Maybe some other stuff too since 3 doesn't really constitute a "plethora". Only thing I'd really like to see is Zealous Snort which we obviously won't get (though with Haste II coming, maybe we're due for a Haste upgrade!).

As for Kayapa Cape for low acc cdc, will check later.
