I hope that helps.

It definitely helps, thank you for all the great advice. I was worried I'd join again and be like a chicken with its head cut off not knowing what to do. The only support job I currently have is scholar. Is it still at all desired after the huge Tabula Rasa nerfs? Again, thanks, and I'm going to have to seriously consider coming back and putting in a lot of work.

The feet are quite good- I don't understand how that could be overlooked.

The boots are best Requescat feet. Also best for different physical spells too. Legs are best for some physical spells (see below). Hands, as you said, for TP... also good for CDC.

Helm is good for monster correlation crap for physical uses.

Body, hands, and boots have multiple uses so good inventory savers while still being fairly optimal. Legs and Helm you can do without and it won't really gimp you much. That orb for helm is cheap though, so guess it depends what other jobs you want helm for.

As for legs, I guess it depends how often you use Glutinous Dart, Quad. Continuum, Delta Thrust, Empty Thrash, Quadrastrike, and Amorphic Spikes and how interested you are in maximizing their damage.

Scholar is still used for stuns mostly. Also a great job for doing Yorcia Skirmish. Both of these require a good ilvl staff though so that your magic accuracy/damage is sufficient. BG Wiki is definitely going to be your best source of info in getting what you need. Be sure to check out the quests required for Watercrafting, Climbing, etc so that you can gain access to all the different SoA areas.

So dunno which tp set up I should be using atm I have:

Iuitl head, legs, feet, thaumas body, espial hands abd windbuffet.

Should I swap to thur+1 head and twilight belt? Also using brutal/suppa if that makes any difference.

Alright, I'll get to reading then. Again, thanks for all the help. Hopefully I'll be able to find an LS on Sylph that could help me get started back up, or try to PuG it.

Probably an obvious question, but are any of the 119 af pieces any good aside from body for our currently piss poor physical spells and being cutesy while idling, and the hands for tp as shown in the current sets? Everything else seems like a side-grade with a 3m price tag. (if anyone says monster correlation on the head I will slap you so super hard)

Boots best for requiescat, second best for CDC, and best for physical spells (especially with chain affinity). Legs and Head aren't very useful.

Iuitl + Windbuffet should work fine if you're tight on inventory, however until you have assimilator +1 hands Thur+1 and Twilight would be best. Right now unaugmented Iuitl is riding the line of superior to whirlpool. Once it's upgraded it will replace it unless you need the acc (assuming they don't add loads of it to iuitl).

Does anyone have an up to date BLU XML? I've been using Yugl's but it isn't swapping gear for any of the new spells.

1 - yes. a majority of, if not all of, the things you need PDT/hybrid for for any extended periods where the differences will matter, you'll need the accuracy on lithelimb. for everything else, the difference is so absolutely miniscule that it really doesn't matter and the extra inventory space wouldn't be worth spending. this is likely to change in the upcoming update, however.

2 - depends on inventory. if I need to wear jubbah I switch to thur + twilight because I have the space in my case to carry them, but it isn't required. situations where you'd be wearing a refresh body probably won't see much difference if you lose the <1% haste

3 - it doesn't. iuitl feet are only good if they have a perfect 2% DA, and even then the difference between them and manibozho is small. legs are best regardless of DA, it's just a bonus.

Blue Mage - BG Wiki

Blue Mage - FFXIclopedia

Both have links to the quest to unlock the job. Take your pick

the only notation I see about it is in a .lua, I do appreciate the sarcasm, though.

It's STR/DEX, but I never finished getting % because I forgot and it was giving me trouble. It was fairly high though; high enough to give Paralyzing Triad more damage potential than Delta Thrust even without considering the fact that Paralyzing Triad makes more use of iLvl mainhand than Delta Thrust can.

Isn't the head at least useful for magical accuracy for when you need to land stun on something that's high level?

I haven't looked at the skirmish 3 stuff yet, but for relic...

-Body best fast cast piece outside of blue magic, possibly good for WS

-Feet astounding for CDC and non-CA physical spells, also Requiescat

-Head astounding for physical spells, possibly weaponskills

Least it gives a reason to carry the feet for Diffusion now

Pending augments, Izaatsu +2 could outdo Anahera.

Well, if we can still augment these with base damage, it wouldn't take a lot to beat it.
