That was a thought i had to Mani or Nah legs over Hag since the mnd is minor difference but there are larger benefits from the att acc str they supply over hag.
So was unsure of what the ideal req build would be under near perfect conditions. Since there are many options and all are probably no difference to the eye such as
legs: Iuitl manibozho Nahtirah or hagondes
body: Iuitl manibozho hagondes
Hands: Iuitl manibozho hagondes buremute
Feet: iuitl manibozho hagondes thaumas
Head: Iuitl Manibozho Hagondes Uk cap, but assuming whirlpool is best over all?
what is the best combo currently with 2x min mad & Hunters up in NTL, Plus being /war Aggressor. (Not in reference to Muyingwa runs as acc there would be stacked to the sky)

Full MND gear would win out if capped on acc / attack.

hagondes Body + legs
Iuitl hands
Thaumas Nails. For optimal DMG.

I would swap hands if acc drops to Buremute for the additional 12 acc.
Then body if still lacking, I would always use Thaumas Nails over any other choice at the minute.

On anything that actually matters, attack will not be capped (even with buffs) as REQ gets a nice20% penalty. Additionally fSTR will not be capped, making Iuitl feet > Thaumas neverminding the fact that it has a lot more acc also. DA is pretty weak for REQ (4att>1DA).

Since DA seems insignificant to Req, would using a Att or mnd earring in place of brutals ever be worth it? as noted above (4att > 1DA) with that said Brutals beats Bladeborn by 1Da > 2Att. Unless there was earring w/ 10att or greater to match the 5DA then brutals takes priority? And or would/will always?
(Stupid question but curious of the difference since DA seems to make a minimal impact on the WS)
Regardless of decisions I'm swopping to this set until i get Iuitl boots (haven't got them as i hate Skirmish 2.0 /sigh @ the though of falling asleep in that ***hole) & didn't think id get use out of Vespid mantle ^^ i thought the DA on Letalis/Atheling would win so didn't bother asking as it seemed more brainless than the question i just asked :p

Arguable Doc, but that depends if you use the set ups for parties we discussed earlier lol.

With Minuets, Chaos Roll, Triumphant Roar, Berserk, and standard DEF downs, the Requiescat set in the OP is the best current set possible. If you need attack or accuracy, the first piece you swap is the head. If you need more after that, ammo, then offhand, then earrings, then back. If you need more after that, consider going on a different job or with a different setup because something is wrong.

And DA is not insignificant for Req, it's one of the better stats that you can equip. It's next to impossible to reach a point where using MND earrings/rings/etc. over DA/TA is superior.

Ok so this set is ideal? Given everyone contradicts each other it becomes more of a preference to each there own, rather than what actually what is best given a situation or so says the spread sheet. With that said final question on the set to ensure this is optimal and should use vespid over atheling/letalis. ItemSet 304144

as i said, the set in the OP is mathematically superior, there isn't any opinion involved there. if you haven't got iuitl body, feet, or bee legs then yes that set is fine except for the mantle; you should not be using vespid mantle unless you need the accuracy and attack, which you should not. atheling or letalis will be better options. bee, maybe gnat, should be the only target that you need to make extreme accuracy adjustments for.

Keep in mind that his optimal set also assumes good augments (DA and/or attack). If you don't have those, then Thaumas boots/Hagondes coat (or rank 15 Manibozho) are better than Iuitl unless you really need the accuracy (you shouldn't).

Yeah, DA augments or bust. Actually a note about that, some people may be tempted to go for crit augments on Iztaasu+1 once we can use CDC again; not worth it. It is superior for that weaponskill, however the difference is absolutely negligible and it ends up hurting Requiescat, which you'll still be using very often.

If you are looking for a good rule of thumb (not gnats assing) math is:

3att = 2 STR = 1DA = 1MND

For the sake of comparison give att 1 point, STR 2 points, and MND/DA 3 points

Thaumas feet = 50 points

Iuitl feet (+7 att aug, which is what I have): 67 points (+acc), its just not that close.

So then in your theory, NQ iuitl beats thaumas by a small margin, but enough to leave thaumas on moogle, since Blu inventory is always a issue.
I was under the impression from yesterdays discussion along with the OP sets that he/she clarified:
Thaumas nails > NQ iuitl gaiters.
Aug w/ at least 1DA Iuitl Gaiters > Thaumas nails

Well its not really a theory (just math) and ppl can wear what they want, but I will confidently chose Iuitl.

In light of the update for unlocking Chant du Cygne on any sword, what would be the most painless way to get 75 horns from Apademak if soloing? Aside from lolbrewing of course ;)

I would say solo, most any job now can solo him with little effort. Oat mnk/dnc slaughters him, as we found out when brewing a handful and brew wore off with 2 full hp Apa popped. Mnk took 1 and friends took the other. Its a joke, farming pops should be the only annoyance. Best thing you could do is Aoe farm TE. Maybe get some pops and farm NMs~ pop Apa one at a time. Or.. Farm pops and Dbox them till you have a handful the send to friends & all go out and do pops for 30min. I think its all painfully annoying tho, theres no happy farming Apa :p

I don't believe theres any solid future plans "yet" thats officially says they will allow X weapon skill to be unlocked threw or by ToM or a Specified LV weapon. Something for a idea they said a wile back that they where thinking of making WoE weapons unlock the WS to fix the REM dispute, but that only covers E and was no mentioning of RM therefore i doubt it since they supposedly where working on making weapons relevant threw another path of LV99 weapon aside from Afterglow, rather than unlocking the WS. But again theres no official news on the plans to back up anything i have said.
There may be more info on it since then but i believe its still undetermined if to unlock a WS or just Increase the weapons to be relevant. Someone else may have more answers to your question than i have given.
Really should post these under "Don't throw away your REM" thread to not shitstorm the Blu page.

The only thing that the Dev's even floated about unlocking empyrean and relic weaponskills was for the owners of lvl99 weapons, I don't remember seeing anything concrete about it. And even if they did say they would do it, Atomos and Cait Sith say "Hi".

There was a post this morning on JP forums. Filthy casuals who didn't learn jp specifically to play this game. J/k google translate barely got the point across.

Didn't they hint at the possibility of being able to unlock the weaponskill with a Lv99 WoE weapon?

It's been mentioned directly, mostly in summary posts regarding the November update. Something along the lines of "enjoying upgrades to relics, mythics, and empyreans as well as unlocking weaponskills with walk of echoes weapons", not in those exact words. There was also a dev post today saying that it would be possible to unlock emp WS with lv90 emp weapons.

Anyway let's try to keep this discussion to a minimum in here, there's plenty of other threads for it and I'd prefer not having this thread turn into a shitshow.

For Requiescat 1/5, if I don't own Buremte hands(made a bad call there taking Uk helm), and do have some NQ Iuitl hands(no great augments on them), would Manibozho hands R15 path A be better? Trying to justify making them for RUN ;) (Another great guide Proth!) Asumming same sets as guide, only with NQ Iuitl (no luck yet)

Iuitl will be better than Manibozho with or without augments in every situation (about 4.3%).

You know, since Empyreans aren't otherwise special besides their Aftermath, I wonder if they will give ilvl empyreans a "Empy WS+30-40% DMG" thing like they did with Relics/Mythics. If that were the case, would that not boost CDC with ilvl Almace ahead of Requiescat on mobs that don't need special damage?
