Hmm, given the breakdown on previous page with marches. I think I'll do Suppanomimi and Brutal with DW4 trait for most occasions for extra versatility in spells.

Maybe set Diffusion Ray more often for another tier of STP when not getting SAM roll.

Stat comparison being:
9 used set points, 2 spell slots, 7 Double Attack, 8 Accuracy, 8 Attack, 2 STP

vs.

6 used set points, 1 spell slot, 5 Double Attack, 5 Sword Skill, 6 STP

Loss of 2 Double Attack and loss of some acc and att for 4 STP and 3 blue magic points.

No, BLU doesn't get Fast Cast I from having one tier. The Gift brings it to normal FC1.

Bonus maths, here's some numbers for various DW stuff with DW5:

Capped Gear Haste + Haste II + DW5
256/1024 + 300/1024 + 35% DW

1 - .35 = .65
1024 - 256 - 300 = 468
468 * .65 = 304
304/1024 = 29.7% Delay Remaining, 70.3% Delay Reduction

Capped Gear Haste + Haste II + DW5 + Suppa
256/1024 + 300/1024 + 40% DW

1 - .4 = .6
1024 - 256 - 300 = 468
468 * .6 = 280
280/1024 = 27.3% Delay Remaining, 72.7% Delay Reduction

Capped Gear Haste + Haste II + DW5 + Suppa + Taeon Boots
256/1024 + 300/1024 + 44% DW

1 - .44 = .56
1024 - 256 - 300 = 468
468 * .56 = 262
262/1024 = 25.6% Delay Remaining, 74.4% Delay Reduction

Capped Gear Haste + Haste II + DW5 + DWEarSet + Taeon Boots
256/1024 + 300/1024 + 46% DW

1 - .46 = .54
1024 - 256 - 300 = 468
468 * .54 = 252
252/1024 = 24.6% Delay Remaining, 75.4% Delay Reduction

Capped Gear Haste + Haste II + DW5 + DWEarSet + Taeon Boots + Shetal Stone
256/1024 + 300/1024 + 52% DW

1 - .52 = .48
1024 - 256 - 300 = 468
468 * .48 = 224
224/1024 = 21.9% Delay Remaining, 78.1% Delay Reduction

Capped Gear Haste + Haste II + DW5 + DWEarSet + Taeon Boots + Shetal Stone + Thurandaut Head or Haverton Ring
256/1024 + 300/1024 + 57% DW

1 - .57 = .43
1024 - 256 - 300 = 468
468 * .43 = 201
201/1024 = 19.6% Delay Remaining, 80.4% Delay Reduction

Capped Gear Haste + Haste II + March + DW5
256/1024 + 448/1024 + 35% DW

1 - .35 = .65
1024 - 256 - 448 = 320
320 * .65 = 208
208/1024 = 20.3% Delay Remaining, 79.7% Delay Reduction

Would sombra tights play a role in any of this, or should those be disregarded?

theyre awful

aside: taeon tights confirmed with +2% Triple Attack augment, rip Iuitl. Qaaxo hands and feet can also be replaced by Taeon if augments carry to other pieces, the DW on the feet make them problematic however. Hard to fit 4% DW in, but could just drop DW5 and take the small (less than 10 delay) loss in attack speed, very likely still comes out better in the long run and gives extra set points.

ACtualy i've seen a screenshot with Taeon boots augmented with DW+5 accu+25 DEX+9

if this is true we will have a piece with dw+9 making DW5 pretty useles. With Gift we could simply keep dw4 (setting 3) and let all the extra point for other useful stuffs :D

I can confirm seeing as high as DW 5 on Taeon pieces, as well as TA 2 on all pieces (excluding helm, which I don't have yet) using leaf stones. Using snow, I've seen 25 atk and 18 acc/atk as the highest numbers. So, basically, taeon gloves with 2 TA, 18 acc/atk pretty much demolish all other options for CDC (from my eyeball math. I am not proficient with the spreadsheet)

EDIT: Just got 20 acc/atk on Taeon tights.

Alluvion armor augments look ridicilous compared to the original skirmish sets. Not just taeon, apparently all of them. This must be SE's new way to vaporize gil <.< Delve v2, can I have it? This random crap is killing me.

Edit: It seems much easier to get good stats with these as well. Right after the update ended, people started posting "too good to be true" results.

Yeah, I got absolutely amazing augments on every single piece with almost 2 stacks of leaf and 1 stack of snow. Now I just need to finish dusk for the stat boosts.

I know DA/TA/QA devalue aftermath 3 so should tiz owners bother with them for melee or would they be a WS piece only?

I don't see them as a CDC piece without the DEX, but I don't know just how much 2 TA and 20 acc/atk will weigh in. Might work for Expiacion and Savage and the like, however.

made some updates to spellsets, trait section, and a couple of equipment sets. needless to say, there's a lot to sift through and evaluate and I don't have a lot of time to do it, so complete update will take time. not playing anymore stifles information flow too, so I need to do stats based on what's reported rather than what I personally see.

Urgent To Do:

-Finish adding spells from previous update
-Add a dedicated Job Point system that includes Gifts
-Clean gearsets and gearset appendices

When I Feel Like it To Do:

-Formatting overhaul, make it prettier and easier to read

I know information is still getting sorted out, but what kind of augments would it take for Taeon Head to RIP Iuitl +1 as well for TP? Given I think Iuitl +1 now has +2 augment slots on top of PDT, and Taeon is augmentable with some crazy combination of TA, Attack/Accuracy, and more stat vomit or Crit Hit Damage+

Any idea if "enhancing magic duration" affects Blue spells? Telchine body gets it as an augment.

From what I remember of the past, "enhancing magic" is completely separate from enhancing blue magic spells. Unless they changed it, I'm betting not.

Enhancing magic duration doesn't affect Blue Magic spells afaik. Would use it for Cocoon on my PLD/BLU if it worked that way.

It does not, tested with Telchine hands and Erratic Flutter, can't say it doesn't work on everything but my guess is not.

Figured as much, but damn, that sure would have been nice. Could have possibly reduced downtime on diffusion flutter to minuscule levels.

I haven't plugged it into the spreadsheet, so don't quote me here, but I'm not altogether sure Taeon head can beat 2DA Iuitl. I know that with just 15 accuracy and 2 TA it demolishes whirlpool for an accuracy swap, but Iuitl, at least to my eyeball math, still seems to be king for headpieces.

If you're feeling particularly adventurous, maybe try taking a page from Brixy's Bubble Trouble GEO guide. All those color-coded tables, lists, nav bars... It's practically formatting porn.

I would imagine due to the natural Crit it would be better to make that piece into a CDC helm right? If it can aug with +17 DEX like seen on other pieces and even Crit Hit Damage/Attack it should blow Uk out of the water for CDC.

I was definitely looking at it for a CDC piece, but I haven't seen anything above 9 dex on armor augments, and I'm not sure how 9 dex would hold up against the 1 bonus crit on Uk as well as more dex and str. Did you see that 17 on armor? If so, that would constitute an enormous shift in gear. Every single Taeon piece could be used for CDC if the augments ended up that high and you had TA + acc/atk. I've already ditched my HQ Nomkahpa for Taeon with 3 STR/DEX, 18 acc/atk, 2 TA. Imagine every piece with massive DEX augs.

I saw somewhere on BG someone said that they could go that high, no clue if it's true so take it with a grain of salt. Maybe it was talking about weapons, what do I know.

Be nice if we could get a body with 10 fc. I mean we are a mage and all the mage sets that happen to have blu on them have avoided fc like the plague...

At least we still have Mavi body for blu magic.

BLU gets a lot of generic fastcast as well that people seem to forget...

ItemSet 333475

57% in this set and 8% quick magic. I also see a ton of BLU's casting BLU magic in Dread or Luhlaza and missing out on the extra 5% from Mavi +2.

I won't be happy til I cap without setting excessive amounts of FC trait.
