Oh, looks like they removed CDC from the list "The potency of the following weapon skills has been increased."

Source

it is still under "Bonuses for the following weapon skills that only applied for initial hits will now be applied to all hits." tho...

Always been alot of BLUs around, ever since hagondes+sanguine blade became a thing.
We have several jp tizona blus here, quite popular job in walk of echoes with surge campaign, also more new blu spells, and double CP campaign, etc.

Desperately hoping they just missed CDC in the notes and it's still included, otherwise that is just an enormous smack in the face for us.

Well, if the initial FTP applies to all hits it would still be a large boost...

It'd be incredibly disappointing.

What did the original JP notes say? And how about the JP notes for today?

Original notes had CDC, a few pages back was a hypothetical that turned into a blu vs Sam fight (again)..

Man, that's a huge *** move if they've taken Chant du Cygne out of the potency boost bracket.

Can't risk having their favourite job SAM potentially dethroned can they?

Hihi, the bandwagon is derailing before it even got on track.

/edit: Realistically, if fTP is replicated across all hits, we're still looking at effectively 9.8 fTP with every additional hit adding another 2.45 http://fTP. Had it not been for the announcement, BLUs would still fap over that, instead of whining about lack of potency update.

Assuming fTP really is replicated across all hits, that is.

Any word on the traits the new spells give or do we have to wait for reports once the servers go up?

Traits are now listed on the spells in the menu so they should be in the dats.

I noticed they changed the added effect on Sweeping Gouge from Paralysis to Defense Down.

If it's reasonably potent and/or gives a good trait it could be quite good.

More important to know if it stacks nicely with dia/box steps/angon and other things

Honor can not be tarnished. SAM is the iconic Japanese image. I would of been happy to knock on the door but I guess we will have to see if we even make it on the porch now.

Tulfaire Raaz Sweeping Gouge has always been DEF Down, that para thing was a typo.

I'd imagine it occupies the same def down slot as things like acids, frightful, angon etc.

That comes from Tulfaires? Could have sworn it was from Raaz.
According to tests done with the Beastmaster pet Raaz the defense down effect it gives is -25%. Pretty substantial if it's not nerfed.

I really hope it is similar to benthic/frightful at least and gives a good trait. Then I can always use a def down without having to lose other spells.

At least Realmrazer is still on the potency list. CDC being removed sucks, but may be Savage Blade, Vorpal and Expiacion got extremely better.

CDC is still getting buffed but not likely as much as many were expecting. On than note Vorpal might be a powerhouse if they are moving to the multihit ws route.

General trend has been to make things require acc, alla FFXI 2004. Pushing ACC and multihit one handers... *looks for the colibri*
