I'm constantly surfing the interwebz looking for applications and gadgets that can enrich FFXI even more. Stuff like the Firefox clock or something I could put on my desktop letting me know what's happening IG without having to log in myself. If I see anything, I'll post it up. =)

Yeah... but it's behind the time... Really... boring too. =\

And you can't set up alarms to notify you when something is happening too. =o

oh it downloads, just doesnt install thats the problem.

1. Open firefox
2. Type about:config in the address bar > [Return]
3. In the Filter field type : checkup
4. extensions.checkUpdateSecurity will now appears. Set its status to FALSE
5. repeat step 3/4 for extensions.checkCompatibility
6. Restart firefox, install your addon.
7. ???
8. PROFIT

You'll now be able to install any add-on, signed or not, compatible or not for your version of Firefox. These change will remains even after a firefox upgrade.

Like the old one didn't have it in the first time. Still people are gonna encounter it eventually :p Also I prefer the old one, not using any toolbar at all. All I want is time info.

Meh. Might as well go all out with an application for the FFXI clock, right?

Timer, maps, search bars, etc... It's so all very handy.

lol...firefox runs slower for me too.

Try google chrome. Please don't use IE. For the love of anyone who has ever called themselves a "web developer" don't use IE until they learn to follow some sort of standards compliance.

And if google chrome isn't faster than IE on your computer, I'll eat all my Alexandrite.

Once you have FFXIclopedia in searchengine bar, any extra toolbar is pointless :D Clock is just good in status bar because it doesn't eat extra space on my screen (since status bar is always up)

Hmm. What are you doing? Can you SS it or tell me?

This is how mine looks:

I just put the URL I posted in an earlier thread in the "Items" and just keep it on Items icon in the upper right corner there.

I just got rid of the Somepage ***, and just replaced it with the wiki pages so on NPCS... just got to wiki and type in NPCs, same with recipes and quests. I nvr used somepage.com, so erase it and GETITOUTAHERE... is all I did. I kept Auction, but it goes straight to Items.. perhaps just change it to main AH webpage I guess...

other than that if someone makes more code, they should add " FORUMS" to the tabs.. then " the circle would be complete!"

Hey Guys, I'm sorry to resurect this topic.. But IF there was something wrong and I do have a question about Syncing the In game time with the REAL life time, then I had to ressurect this thread.

Can anyone who knows more about doing this so, please tell me how to sync the times so that I get accurate synthing and /de-synthises. Also it will be easier for me to monitor and kep track of.

Thanks in Advance.

Doesn't the in-game /clock command run off your Windows time zone setting? Or does it just display your system time w/o any consideration to the server's time? Haven't used /clock for awhile. >.>

Well there is a button under options says Syncronise time with game, but last night i did that and the Vana'deil clock and in game clock wasn't right as i wanted to pick my plants for harvesting. Good thing tho, b.c I think they were on the verge of wilting...

I def want to make sure that it is synced.. so that every sec. counts.. I want to be as accurate as possible. Hope Zekky Sees this....

Mine still doesn't sync right for some reason...keeps losing time somewhere. I have the windows time service running and all that ***, but yeah...I pretty much gave up on it being dead-on accurate. Works well enough even being a few minutes off lol

Ahhhhh i have the same problem every few days.
All you need to do is click Resync, works like a charm everytime.As long as you've done it once already so it knows what its actually connecting to obviously ^^;
