Has anyone tried augmenting the new hexed armor? (Done through a drop from Legion not tatters.) I'm assuming not yet due to people saying the new gear "isn't really that good."
But if you have screenshots or info would be awesome!

Has anyone tried augmenting the new hexed armor? (Done through a drop from Legion not tatters.) I'm assuming not yet due to people saying the new gear "isn't really that good."
But if you have screenshots or info would be awesome! Well, two things:
1) You can only augment HQ Abjuration armors for the new stuff. 2) The Hexed Items are Tier 0 with difficult to gather ingredients and very little demand. 1 + 2 = We won't get any information on this augment system for a looong looong time. Bolded good to know, is this something you know first hand or posted somewhere? The huginn hand augments are amazing for a ws piece (before augments). I recall someone saying that the hands or pants are hot for sam.
If I recall from looking at them there is at least one piece from each of the sets thats good-very good before augments. I only hope that tattering the hex abj doesnt require the legion KI as well because otherwise i see them getting tossed by everyone. Yeah wtf was SE thinking. Hard to make items with little demand and only the HQs can be augmented... Also are they all tier 0 synths? Between +5 moghouse, +4 (apron, gloves, torque - smithing) and +3 from support, I'd imagine you could hit tier 1 on all of them if you are 110.
Depends on subcraft, most, if not all have several subcrafts required.

With all the goodies, I can get to 120 (maybe) and hit the tier 1. But given how damn near impossible smithing is to level from 100 to 110, you can pretty much forget it until ~2013. There's no way I'm going to drop 80M just to get myself tier 1 on an item that not many people want anyway. What item allows you to augment it anyway?
I thought I read somewhere that it was the trophy from the final Legion room. If that's true, then this is probably the worst idea SE has ever had. That's where it's from. Final wing of legion. And it's random augments from synergy using those.
It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. If I was a betting man, I would predict that the only skillup synth capable of taking you to 110 is the Hexed Body assigned to your craft.
For me: Cloth - Hexed Bliaut Alchemy - Hexed Doublet But yes, for jobs with the torque it is now possible to get +12 skill. That means that you can skill up on a Tier 1 synth for one level. Major profit for the first person to do it across servers if the synth is useful and the abjuration is obtainable. The problem is how few synths meet this criteria and how large the startup costs are. Like, assuming it takes me 400 synths to get from 100 to 110 Alchemy, I could expect to spend over 600 million gil on Ethereal Squama alone. I'd die of old age before I got 400 Ethereal Squama off AH though, so realistically I'd have to drop what I'm doing and farm Verthandi for about one per night. It would take me a year. The odds of better synths to skill up with coming out within a year are pretty good. About VNMs while you've brought them up, do they have a gimmick?
We know that only the shadowed VNMs can drop their ring and respective titles but among the "fakes" there seems to be a pattern regarding the HP of the VNM and distinctly what can drop. When I did the rounds on Verthandi for a trial there was always a Verthandi that dropped nothing but ingots/logs/crap that had less HP whereas the "true" VNM would have significantly more fight, hp and if TH checked out would drop a pool that'd include squama. Btw what level and requirements are needed to craft these new hexed items? Can anyone with 100/60/60 get started on making this stuff?
I've seen multiple screenshots of HQ augmented hexed gear now, and have also seen people on my own server running around with it. This leads me to believe that either the tier system has changed for crafting hexed gear, or people have been blowing mad gil on the items required to make these hexed pieces -1. I wish someone with the HQ hexed gear would confirm that they blew 80mil on it or just got lucky.
