Just wondering, should I make a /t to the customer for thanking them for using my Telewhore service?
Like having a macro that says:

Ah, but here is the thing, since telewhoring isn't going to be the way I make money, its just something to do while bored with synthing, I rather be different when I see people shout for teles.

Why, are they paying you for every refresh?
You seem to forget that for every telewhore you do, you are not only doing them a service, but you are also getting gil from them for doing that service. Common Courtesy dictates that you thank your customers for doing business with you.

Principle's the same. It's redundant. /bow seems to work well, and it even works in all languages! If I got your /tell, I'd either think nothing of it and keep walking, or on a bad day, I'd remember to find someone else next time. That's just my opinion. Hate when people /t for no reason.

Well, think of it this way, not sure about the customs in Japan (If I'm correct in assuming you're still there), but in convenience/specialty stores here, the reps job is basically to thank you when you walk in for choosing their store, thank you for your purchase, and thank you for choosing their store (again...) on your way out.
By the time I'm done, there's really nothing stopping me from saying, "stfu already" other than trying to remain tactful around kids, etc.
