anyone have a guess how rare enemy vorseals work in a group? lowest level, highest, average? need to be on hate list or claim or get kill shot?
LightningHelix said: » Has the Jubilee Shirt ever come back since the Jingle Baas event in 2016? Did they run that event again or put it on one of the random event moogles? Or is that Mog Kupon AW-Cos only at this point? Genuinely don't know if there's a page on the bg wiki I should be referencing for this info, so if anyone wants to point me there I'll take that too :P More importantly.. that's one of ONLY 3(?) events the Moogle mount comes from and it's been 8 years.... the others being "Premium Mooblin Battle" which was in 2018, 6 years ago... and Quiz For the Age in 2017. SE needs to bring these items back. There's plenty of really exclusive ***that was locked behind a special event that could easily be slotted into some lul in the year where nothing is happening. Other things/events that pop to mind immediately: >>>Jingly Rod/Jubilee Shirt/Moogle Mount - Jingle Baas 2016 >>>Save the Queen II - 2018 ROE >>>Chicken Knife II - 2018 ROE >>>Pamama Peel - 2016 New Year >>>Well - Recollections of Vana'Diel 2017 OR Screenshot contests >>>Various items from Screenshot contests... they should hold these at least twice a year. We got completeld shafted this time around w/ only AA statues >>>Shadow Lord Shirt - 2016 log in (WHY ISNT THIS PART OF THE SHADOW LORD EVENT???) >>>DQX event - last 2021 >>>FFXIV event - last 2022 >>>Crystal War Revisited - 2007 (dandy/fancy spectacles) >>>ALL Rainbow Mog Pel items - Various exclusive events or IRL events... since made impossible to get I'm sure more veteran players from the 2010's era could tell me plenty of exclusive crap SE gave away once or twice then forgot it existed. I dont see why these events cant be yearly. It simply makes the game more lively at no expense Additionally theres stuff like the Crab Club Arena event where people 1st got the Red Crab mount... now items like this are simply from Login Points? Why? I'd rather do an event for an item than wait months for it to pop up in a login rotation and just get it. Asura.Dexprozius said: » >>>Crystal War Revisited - 2007 (dandy/fancy spectacles) Dandy/Fancy spectacles? You can just craft these...? Is there some other version that looks different or what am I missing here? I just recall them coming from that event originally. My point was more that SE should bring the event back, they could add something new to it for the modern era Oh yeah, I agree with the sentiment of your post, this one just stood out to me because I've had a few friends ask me to make those particular glasses for them, so I did a double-take. On one hand it's really fun for people who have all these rare, unobtainable items to be able to say "I've got this paintbrush that was an exclusive item only if you bought this Japanese physical product" and show off. On the other hand, the content already exists, there's not much purpose to make it so exclusive. I think there does need to be somewhat of a balance though. People really do get a dopamine hit from showing off and talking about their cool stuff, so if you can just go buy it at a vendor or wait a couple months and get it from a 30 minute event, it takes some of the "shine" away from getting it. People need cool things to show off, as much as that upsets the people who don't have them. I agree with the "I got it 1st" or the "You had to be there" type of sentiment..
but when things go unobtainable for 6-8 years+, and most people who even bothered getting them from some throwaway "Hey players log in during this month and get a freebie" have long since quit or tossed the thing... It just feels excessively stupid and non-inclusive of modern players. Especially many like myself who came back during the covid era. I don't know what the proper balance should be... but it shouldnt be a 0-100 scale. I think items being unobtainable is stupid. Make them rare/hard to get or limited time, but not unobtainable. Bringing it back to that paintbrush, most of those items were from an IRL event in Japan, or a Japan-only piece of merchandise and 99% of EU or USA players never even had a chance to get them. That doesn't make it cool to see one in the wild, just bitter. Another thing that comes to mind is the Pictlogia painting frames. 1 month of "Talk to the gobbie for a special Pictlogia dial" and then never again? After finding out about these 99% of players dont care or have them, and a tiny % of players are holding multiple copies of each and are happy to give them to people who express interest. I think the concept that the login points provides; "get it this month or maybe you'll have to wait until next year", is a great incentive for people to do the thing. But for me, it's just that i'd rather "Do a thing" than.... Login and collect for free. More events in the game means that the people who collect or even care can go about doing things and majority of people will continue about their days without knowing there's even an event happening. EDIT: I'll add that this sentiment I'm expressing was a large part of my feedback on the recent Survey... but god knows they're not reading 99% of the paragraphs myself and others wrote ^ In the same vein of my feelings about these exclusive events... I'm also a huge hater of the Mog Bonanza rank 1 weapons.
These items should be tied to some piece of content, and perhaps time gated behind 3-6 months of progress like prime or ergon weapons. They're strong, but in most cases not REMA strong, however All of them are cool enough to play around with or create some unique build around. They shouldn't be locked exclusively behind a lottery. Would it KILL SE to put things in the game that incentivize players to play for months rather than gamble? Seems pretty common sense to me Kaffy said: » anyone have a guess how rare enemy vorseals work in a group? lowest level, highest, average? need to be on hate list or claim or get kill shot? I'd guess it's claim but then again. If someone with a molifer claims a mob and someone without one kills the mob, can a rare enemy spawn? If so then I'd bet it's the kill shot. Offline

It's neither claim nor kill shot. You get rare enemy pop bonuses with neither. No I don't have data, diy.
How the differing levels in party affect it, idk and no way to test that reliably. I would guess highest level in party wins but who knows, it might well be lowest, average or some over complicated formula to get sliding scale because why not. Well, based on what you said after saying it's not claim or killshot how could you be certain it isn't? Kaffy said: » anyone have a guess how rare enemy vorseals work in a group? lowest level, highest, average? need to be on hate list or claim or get kill shot? It's definitely not highest in the party, but might be highest tier of all the people on the hate list. When I help beginners farm these NMs, I split off and kill my own stuff while they have the trusts for killing their stuff, so we aren't fighting the same mobs, and I generally get 2-3 pops for each pop they get. So they definitely aren't benefiting from my luck vorseals. If you want other players to benefit from your luck vorseals, you definitely need to be killing the same things. Beyond that I don't know how it picks tier if multiple people fight the same thing. Offline

assume they meant when leveling to 99, especially on a blank character trusts do basically all the work for you

Hypothetically speaking, should a Pld with a stage 2 Duban upgrade to stage 3 and lose the wakey wakey effect?
That's what the sword is for
Or Vim Torque Offline

Recently seen somewhere that SCH can create a larger skillchain window of 11 or 12 seconds instead of 10 by closing with helix. He demonstrated this with help of the skillchains addon.
Are there other ways to increase the skillchain/MB window besides SCH helix? pets closing SCs or maybe BLU chain affinity/azure lore? Online

Might be better to extend SC
VS MB window I'm thinking of returning and noticed the prices of relic currency is crazy high compared to the past, so what happened? I bought I Excalibur and Aegis in the past since they were around 20-25M each, and now the calculator on the site here says it'll run about 85.5M with current prices on Asura and most servers. Did SE somehow change Dynamis since 2018ish that made prices go up again?
Also, how are support jobs these days? I geared up GEO with Idris but SE started nerfing bubbles on bosses and new enemies so I left the game as a result, but I'm open nowadays to coming back as possibly RDM, COR, or maybe even BRD since XI really scratches my support role itch. RMT stopped botting jeuno because prices got so low

Geo is still used a lot even with nerfs. You will need more than geo to do high end content though, the main job days are over.
Can anyone point me to where I would find a working Chars plugin? I haven't played for a few months now, just trying to get stuff working again. I tried deleting the folder and having Windower redownload it, that did not help.
Thanks! Have the servers been less stable lately, or just me? It seems once a day Im experiencing a full disconnect.
I wouldnt give a ***except logging into FFXI takes like 5 minutes. Offline

I have had zero issues with XI currently. You can tell if it's just you or your ISP, cause if it was the servers there would be far more complaints.
My friend was complaining too, though not as bad as mine have been, thats why I figured Id ask here. I live eastern canada, hes SW USA, so were not on the same route to the servers.

I am (slowly) trying to get all my mules up to level 99 to do trove. They are all on the same account so dualboxing is out of the question. Which of the current login campaign ciphers are worth getting? Assume I only ever have 4 trusts at a time and my focus is leveling a war.
