Does anyone know if the escha lotto NM's still have a chance to pop if you one shot them without aggro'ing or claiming them first?
They 100% do. Just the randomness can bite you. Expect ~4hrs per drop or so.

Expect ~4hrs per drop or so. The lag in Sheol is absolutely killing me lately. It's always been bad but it seems worse. What can I do to make it marginally less bad?
To be clear, this is even when it's me+5 trusts, not just when it's 6 humans. I have Packetflow on. Literally all game settings on low doesn't change anything. I also have /blureffects off which I know some people don't know about. (not because it matters here but hey maybe someone learns about it from this post) Is there like, a plogon that'll do the equivalent of "indinope" except for "displaying literally every effect", and would that even matter because it'd only apply at rendering time rather than server-communication time? Any tips very much appreciated. I think that you, like the majority of people to be fair, are mixing up "lag" with "performance loss".
In the first case you have a very different array of possible slowdowns that are caused by the network communication falling behind for whatever reason. In the second case it's a problem of performance, because of some reason (some fault in your hw, something slowly breaking up in your system, some error in the driver or some other software components, some malicious windows software that's slowing down FFXI etc) your system is failing to do what it's supposed to do with the right timing, as a result there could be visual errors on screen or, more often then not, slowdowns. If it's the first case and you already have Packetflow loaded like you said and your connection is fine, then there is nothing else you can do. If it's the second, then you should first find what is causing the issue, and then you might be able to solve it. Why are these so expensive (on Asura)? Just curious. Guessing it's the best buyable H2H for bots with a really high base damage, but even that seems like a stretch.
Pointless to make. The mats are, inconvenient. Value isn't solely based on usefulness.
They aren't good to bot with either. Stupid people buy stupid things. Always have, always will. LightningHelix said: » The lag in Sheol is absolutely killing me lately. Do a run 2-3 hours earlier with trusts, avoid peak NA time. T0, over 13m a synth, no reasonable way to get large amounts of cross-counters either. NQ is worthless because it comes out of gobbiebox. I haven't tried the synth enough to know how break rates are, but I bet you'd be hard pressed to make them for too much cheaper.
The real question is why anyone is paying that, but Eiryl covered that(sort of). Asura.Eiryl said: » Stupid people buy stupid things. Always have, always will. Stupid is the only thing left to buy if you've been around long enough.
I know I keep asking this, but my brain just can't keep the information...
Crooked Cards on Corsair is just a flat increase to the roll right? It's not overridden by Double-up/not activated by Double-up right? Asura.Vyre said: » Crooked Cards on Corsair is just a flat increase to the roll right? It's not overridden by Double-up/not activated by Double-up right? Correct. Is only applied on initial phantom roll. And you're free to double up the roll as well, right? It's not just some weird way to try and let lucky number do its thing?
Doubling up affects the potency on top of crooked cards. Crooked bonus + roll gear bonus + final number of roll is total potency. Doesn't matter how many double ups you needed to get there.
One other thing on this though: crooked bonus only applies to the characters who were hit by the first phantom roll. Double-up will give the roll to others it hits, but the subsequent targets won't get the crooked bonus
Talking about stuff that should be easy to remember, the Composure and Crocea Mors en-spell damage bonuses are the same term, right?
Additive (1 +200% +500% = +700% = x8 total) Not multiplicative (1 x3 x5 = x15 = 1600% total) Do the Raider's Gloves +2 need to be kept on for the Sneak Attack bonus or can you change gloves to weaponskill and still have the bonus to Sneak Attack?
Need to be kept on, same for any Trick attack gear. Only worthwhile one is on vajra imo
I've gotta be missing something. Why do I have to trade one Speed Apple to the Chocobo Racing NPC that lets me put it on my jockey every time it gets used? Is there really no way to set it as "favorite" and just trade 100 or something? Can I trade it to the NPC at the counter who I enter races with, at the very least?
For B1 chest in Sortie, is it 3 Biune Elementals at the same time in 30 seconds or just in a row?
It's just general foes not ele specific, you have 30~ seconds to kill whatever has enmity on you, doesnt need to be in a row or same time, just 3 instances of a biume foe killed in 30 seconds
But aren't all Biune foes technically elementals?

Don't see why not, the elementals are the same as in Raz. Not actually done it though. Dodik said: » Quote: Can you learn blue magic in odyssey C? Nariont said: » Asura.Vyre said: » But aren't all Biune foes technically elementals? Anyone know if there's a guide for completing all adoulin quests? Not what to do for the quests, but advice on which quests are convenient to do at the same time to limit so much back and forth
I haven't seen that. I personally just printed this page and slowly worked on them. I would just line through the completed quest. It wasn't too bad.
https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Category:Adoulin_Quests Similar: I put them all in a spreadsheet by zone and checked off the ones I've already done and then made a path to finish all the ones I hadn't. But that's a really good thought, it would have been great to have a guide that outlines which ones to do too save the most time.
