I downloaded this one where the person had one set for each combination of:
Weapon choice (each RMEAP for each slot), how much Accuracy is needed to cap Accuracy against a mob, how much Dual Wield is needed to cap Attack Speed given the party layout, what subjob you're using, what day of the week it is, what enemy's weaknesses are. It ended up multiplying to create over a hundred sets.
Ideally I'm looking for Corsair, Red Mage, and Paladin, but I'd also probably want to play around with more jobs down the line. I really only want a few sets: maybe a full-damage TP set and hybrid TP set, an idle set, and maybe a couple depending on the spells or abilities I'm using. I'd probably just stick to macros and item sets, but I like using the menus half of the time.
Mine are fairly barebones compared to others, stick in your Gear and go to work.
Some of the jobs have some state-toggles but mainly F7-F12
F7 Weapons,
F9 Cycles TP/DT sets
F10 Idle sets
F12 TH gear
If you take my RDM Lua, just uh.. It's very messy and needs a cleanup, but it's one of those "It works, but I'm afraid it'll break if I clean it up" kinda deals.

I DMd you the one I use for PLD since he didn't have one, but it's kindof messy albeit functional. If I get time to clean it up later this week, I'll post it here, mine for the other jobs I play are similar to the above so there isn't much benefit in me posting those. I make a lot of changes on the fly so they aren't the most user friendly but they are a lot simpler.
I hate how most luas have a ton of sets I never need or use and too much functionality. Mine basically just swap gear and extend macros slightly (e.g. ctrl+e for panacea, ctrl+q for dt set, alt+q to switch weapons).

FFXI is a neat game where the more gear you get, the more things you can do with it. One set splits into two, then three, then four. Next thing you know, one new piece of gear makes that one weapon skill 0.1% stronger during a full moon against amorph mobs on Firesday, but that's one-tenth of a percent stronger than you were before. So I really do get it.
But when I'm not even close to that depth of equipment yet, I know that level of complexity is going to lead me to making big mistakes. I couldn't even begin to know why I'd need a whole different loadout for some of the situations presented in the more complicated LUAs.
Now I've got the baby step goals I can work through. And who knows - maybe one day I'll make my own LUA with 400 different equipment sets :3

/? will give you a list of all the game commands, quick look i didn't see anything though. check your settings under config > effects in the game menu maybe.

Can someone confirm whether or not Barstone/Flabra can help resist Slow?
Someone told me it only helps resist Petrify.
Currently soloing Kei on SAM, and wanna know if it's worth keep going SAM/RUN or if i should switch to SAM/DNC for healing at thresholds or /DRK for full haste cap.

Slow is earth based so earth resist helps. Granted slow spikes has pretty high macc iirc so even with those i dont think youll reliably keep it from occuring

Checking the wiki, I might be wrong about the aura. When I fight Kei I overcap haste and just ignore the slow entirely.
But I always thought it was an aura thats present under certain conditions. Purely eyeball, the only time I noticed slow on my char was when Fudo or Kasha decide to miss.
Flabra/barstone would help resist the slow effect, on top of all the meva on your equipment.

Not sure if this has already been answered, but what is the lore behind Incursion? Why are we even fighting the Velkk to begin with? I haven’t done the Blackthorn Coven quest yet (just started playing again after like 10 years away) so maybe that explains it?
is there a reason that one Velkk that levels up incursion is working with us?

I'm sure the answer is clear but on the Tauret page it isn't explicitly clear if the evis damage bonus works in offhand or not.

That says Main hand: Evis as in gives the WS if in main hand. I guess it is clear that all applies after that though.

Yup a colon applies to ALL stats that follow, not just one. For example if you see an item with:
Accuracy +10
Pet: Accuracy +10
Attack +10
This would mean the attack+10 goes to your pet, not to you.

Didn't the "new" HTBF fights used to drop Rem's Tales? As recently as May 2022 I got treasure pool chapters from Cait Sith Normal difficulty (3x treasure pool, 3x personal) and Shinryu Normal difficulty along with personal drops (3x treasure pool, 2x personal), but in June 2022 I didn't get any chapters in the treasure pool for Shinryu Very Difficult (only 4x personal chapters). This also applies to Shinryu Very Difficult in latter half 2022 when the Primeval Brew glitch was available (no chapters in the treasure pool).
You still get chapters from the regular HTBF fights on VD like Avatar Primes.
Also I noticed you get 5x personal chapters from Cait Sith VD and 4x personal chapters from Cait Sith D (I got 4x on Jan 2 for Cait Sith Difficult). This is different than the other ones where it's 4 max personal on VD
Edit: checked some more logs and in June 2022 didn't get any chapters in the personal pool for Alexander D (only 4x personal chapters)

I'm looking for recommendations for DRK and WAR weapons to build. They are both well geared from my PLD but fairly new to me.
I have a prime greatsword that is stage 3. It's definitely going to 4. DRK has r15 apoc and I think it's great. Montante+1 and Lycurgos.
Calad, Farsha, and Redemption are at plate stage. Ukon is not started.
What do you get a lot of use out of or is irreplaceable?
