I haven't played in maybe a month, but my whole client just updated itself (3hours) and then I logged in and all my .dat and mods were gone :(
any reason why? I don't mind installing them again, just curious why it happened haha

That was the most surface level sentence I ever gave on here, but it was something like that. I think we had some major update maintenance, maybe SE repaired most files in the games folder.

They triggered a full file check on the update server and it replaced a lot of files with the originals, they don't do it often.
Best to use the XIpivot windower addon that puts all mods in another folder. I started using that but now I see characters T posing and some gear invisible. So I went in and apparently everything is placed under one folder. If you want to separate them you have to load each folder individually?
I have random FPS drops to 25~30 from 60 on my characters lately... I don't know if its dgvoodoo or what, anyone had a similar experience?

Which mods and where can I check what its set to?

You can do that just fine, just if you want to be able to load and unload them separately and not all or nothing they have to be in different base folders.
I have most of mine all in ffxi-hd. I have FFXI-HD with all my basic mods in Then I have a second folder outside of this one with modded geo bubbles and removed glows on rema so I can turn these specific ones on and off without turning the first set off. I currently multibox and my main has all the rare enemy vorseal, but my alt doesn’t.
Is it the kill shot or the claim that affects rare enemies spawning? Trying to figure out if I need to know if I should bother taking my alt out to get the out of the way ones like the voidwatch boss. Offline

Gear cap is 25%(128/512) however with the way gear dispel and the actual value of haste on gear leads to many gearing towards 26% to ensure they are capped. 27% has never been a recommendation so I'm not sure where you heard that. I think some newer gear upon Adoulin's release appeared to have more generous /1024 values (meaning 26% wouldn't necessarily be needed to hit the true cap), but as far as I know no one (including myself lol) has bothered to check since then.
Also, jobs that have access to more than 12% JA haste and/or unavoidable excess DW don't necessarily need to cap gear haste in every set. Offline

Gear haste, magic haste, JA haste, then dual wield that is either a benefit or a hindrance based on how much haste you have. Offline

I actually like it. What I dislike tho is that they never tell you which is which and exact amount. Then people get confused for years that haste from Cheer effect from Monster Rearing is gear haste, or Apolcaypse changes equip haste to ja haste for unknown reason. This is true for many other statistics in the game tho... Confusion among players that can be easily fixed is never a good thing no matter how you look at it.

Black mage only on first nuke then everyone on second volley? or everyone magic bursting but staggering them a few seconds to allow for the magic burst wall to reduce a tiny bit per magic burst? Can you imagine if Square would just add a trade channel, then mercs could sell stuff and not spam /yell.
They cause the spam by not wanting to add extra chat channels. They would go where the people are, which make the effort wasted.
