I got a used laptop that looks like it should be able to run FFXI fairly well, so thinking about creating a second account to dual box with. And should that fail, I think there was some special windower plugins to make dual boxing easier like multisend, switchmon, and sandbox. Anything else?
Already have the software and stuff installed and updated on the machine, so really just need a new account key. What's the best way to go about this? Steam? Amazon?
Anything else I should be aware of when making a second account? Like getting the gold worldpass set up and destrier beret and such.

Appears he does. They definitely still drop some/many of the same ones, but obviously it's not yet 100% certain that it drops all of them.

you can o_o its got a minute recast and only blinks 1 attack unless you use it with seigan

gold pass is handy yeah, worthwhile. at the 40 day mark you can both grab an all jobs GK or Polearm and at 75 days the all jobs gk+1 or polearm +1 which can be handy for movement+ since destrier gives costume at any time plus destrier lets you zone around with your costume on
other than those two, that's about it. I'd farm Minikin trigs when bored as well so as soon as the mule gets 30 and unlocks maws you can get it MM and have it cure exp groups etc to burn to 99 faster than grounds of valor
Figured it out, glitch in my xml somewere as I can us it with spellcast shut off.

He does tank relatively well considering. I think hes also the only aquan that can 99 natively.

I have a question regarding the sandbox tool for avoiding log conflicts while dualboxing on the same machine.
I usually keep my second character on my second monitor, which has a different resolution than my main character's monitor. I use separate Windower profiles for them to keep them both looking nice.
When I was looking at the Sandbox docs, it looked like one just says "Launch Windower" in the right-click menu without the opportunity to choose a profile, so one of my characters would suffer.
Is this correct or does it have some way to handle that?

So, I haven't done the caturae fights in VW yet. What's the best way to deal with those? Do most people bring a PLD to hold one caturae off to the side?

It changes based on how large the group you are with is and who is the highest level. The exp calcs are somewhat out of date and there isn't much info about ally exp but iirc you'd be best to be around 15+ if you're joining a 18 man group with a level 99.
If you're just alone with one person then I think you can be more like 8 or 9? Be sure to have signet if you're in a pt with less than 6.

It is not worthless(actually rather strong) and has no downside. Try to TP in af3+2 gloves when using it (but you do not have to WS in them)
