Random Question thread (FFXI related)
Luckily you can keep trying until you get it. It's been awhile since I did this one but I seem to recall being able to force him into busting by making him reroll.
Wow after 3 hours of this I win 3 times in a row....

Shattering Stars / The Beast Within / Breaking the Bonds of Fat / Achieving True Power / A Furious Finale / Survivor of the Wisest Perhaps one must face Knights of Rotund spam? What's the worst negative record of people not getting Defending Ring from Savory Shanks?
Talking about realistic numbers, not overestimations. I reached 0/60 yesterday. It's probably a little higher than that, but 60 is the number I'm 101% sure about. I'm also 5/96 on Savory Shank from NQ Behemoth (this is surely higher than that, but 96 is the number I'm sure of) Curious where I place in an hypothetycal "bad luck" tier list. I've been lucky in several parts of this game, but Voidwatch and Behe clearly aren't in the list (I was over 0/2000+ on Coruscanti when I stopped tracking) Maybe I'm the way the Universe finds balance again after all those people going 1/1 on Dring =/ is there a trick to making Qultada give Corsair's Roll, he keeps doing Chaos and Hunters
Yes there is a trick and the trick is having a bonus from XP/CP ring.
Be it the XP bonus or the CP one it doesn't matter, as long as the summoner has it up, Qultada will always use Corsair's Roll and a second roll of choice. 1) +DMG Augments I think apply to all hits, regular or WS. You might be thinking of the augment from old Skirmish +2 weapons, which was "Weaponskill:DMG:+%".
2) WS Damage% only applies to first hit. 3) Offhand will count as an extra hit unless you've hit 8 swings from multi-attacks already. 4) Multi-attacks can only activate once on WS, and I recall reading only on the first hit. 5) Multi-attacks are only really useful on WSs that carry fTP (common on high-level multihit WSs). Crit Rate is useless unless the WS can crit (like Evisceration, CDC). Crit Damage is useless unless the WS can crit or you have SA/TA/Mighty Strikes active. 6) Yes, SA and TA are best for WS's with a strong main hit, like Rudra's or Mandalic Stab. 7) Yes, Belt/Gorget are best for those WSs, even more so if they are multihits. 8) I imagine RNG's crit bonus would apply to Jishnu's Radiance, since that's a crit WS. Deadaim most certainly does not apply to WS.
Mythic AM3 can only proc on the first hit of a WS. QA, TA, and DA can proc on the first two swings. WSs with transferring fTPs aside, this tends to mean that multiattack works best on WS with high WSCs, relatively low fTPs, and are two hits. Shoha is a good example of this. Offline

does the enhancing duration augment on ghostfyre cape effect others or just self?

used over 800 +2 stones on hagondes and never seen m.acc higher than 29
not that that's proof, pretty odd MAB would go to 30 if m.acc stops at 29.. but with the distribution being weighted so heavily away from max value it's not very easy to confirm With my own eyes I have seen ONE JP in town have Hagondes MACC+30 Hands.

The augment guide states it only goes up to 26 but I've gotten higher than that years ago I have a piece here, unfortunately not MAB which I was aiming for q.q So with the first chapter of RoV essentially removing the cockblock for Relic and Mythic weapons as well as gaining levels and merits would it be safe to say in chapters 2 and/or 3 that it will be removed for Emp and capacity points?

The augment guide states it only goes up to 26 but I've gotten higher than that years ago I have +27 on Hagondes hands (not even +1) that I got from a +1 stone many moons ago. ..that's why they're not 119, I don't want to lose the augment. I'm just returning to this game and wondering how the *** we're supposed to get 300 job points.
I've done most of the capacity point+ eminence quests, but wow... For gifts, should I prioritize capacity point bonuses? (For reference, I'm working on DNC) You don't pick gifts they unlock as you spend job points.
As for earning job points, using a capacity points ring, kupofried trust, cor trust and killing mobs in either Escha or gates zones will net you a good amount. Do your RoE Reive objectives as well if you haven't already, as completing all of them nets a total CP+56% bonus.
Don't worry about trying to get them all done in a hurry. I just burn a couple Trizek Ring charges each day (precharging the first), maybe use a Capacity Ring charge if I have time to kill and want a few extra JPs that day. HQ Aptitude is 30%, NQ is 25%.
Anyone try burning through CP solo in SCH? I'm going at it slow at bat camp, single targeting a mob for Immanence SC>MB, but as I said, it's slow. And the fact you have to engage and hit the mob to get your trusts to do anything sucks.
Kinda surprising anyone would want to solo at Woh Gates bat camp, since it's in use half the time. Anyway, since a lot of Adoulin enemies have elemental weaknesses, I'd imagine you'd do well to take on some of them. All Gates and Cirdas have Umbrils (fire/light) in them, and I think Acuexes (fire? I forget) as well. Moh has Matamatas (lightning)and Dho has Craklaws (fire).
I have never entered Escha except the forced entry in that RoV mission and I don't think I will ever enter at this rate unless I join a LS doing it as a mandatory event (which will never happen anyway since I can't find one that fits my play time) but I don't feel like I am missing anything at all... I wonder whether there are many people around here like me or not.
