weird question, but will lowering the impurities and pressure before ending a synth improve chances for a better high quality?

If testing has done to show this to be true or false, then I haven't seen it.

If it hasn't, then your guess is as good as anyone's.

From personal "eyeballing" and very small undocumented sample sizes I'd say no. Almost all of my HQs have come with high pressure and close to 30% impurites.

I've also hit 4 NQ augments in a row with perfect alignment and HQ'd a Stormsoul ring that was leaking wind and 5 off alignment. Random is random.

Synthesis, RNG, etc. No reliable evidence to suggest either way, however if I had to bet I'd put money on no. Making sense isn't the status quo for SE.

There was a reason I prefaced myself with that statement...

But it's generally accepted pressure and impurities do not influence HQ rate regardless.

It probably doesn't because it would be an additional thing to program, tbh.

*bump*

lowering impurities reduces chances of explosion, but what about lowering pressure?

I'm supposing this reduces chances of leaking, any confirmation about that?

I don't know much about synergy, but I thought pressure just affected the amount of damage you take from an explosion.

If you keep impurities below 30% the furnace will never blow up, however, you still get leaks.

Would love to know about pressure handle too, but I always assumed it was for leaks. I never care about it much because in most of the synths I do you can stop a leak and still benefit yourself, or the synth time would just end by trying to prevent a leaking from happening.

Ok, thank you for your answers. If pressure only affects damage taken from explosion, I just have to prevent that with safety lever then, and not to worry about pressure ^^
