Broken Heart (A Story Of Love And Lost)

I had a friend in my linkshell who told me a story about why she does not like mithra characters. She told me that her Fiancé like to play FFXI and they both play together all of the time. Until she noticed that he have stated play alot when she was asleep. Then she notice he would be talking to this one character (Mithra) more then normal. She said that he told her that it was only to setup missions and other stuff. But when she woke up sometimes she would see he just sitting there in Whitegate chatting away. One day, she said that he broke up with her and move in this girl that he was talking too on the game. At first, I didn't believe it because I felt that she was trying to get someone to feel sorry for her until she flip out when my friend call out his Mithra NPC to help us fight a NM. I always believe that they had more issue then him meeting another person on the game for them to just break up like that. Just want to know if anyone have or know someone who have went through the same thing.

EDIT: This girl in this story had some serious issues which in turn made me not talk to her any longer.

Then he found out the girl he broke up with his real girlfriend for was really a guy.

Now that would be divine justice!

So have I known crazy pyscho women... yes. Frankly refuse to make any real decision till I here his side since 90% of crazy relationships stories I've heard and dealt with have always had the girl telling some crazy usually false or exaggerated stories about what happened. So I'd say talk to the dude. Who knows maybe he just got tired of her flipping out.

She told me that they was exchanging pics of themselves. She found them on the computer and this is the reason she believe it was a girl. But, still it could be a guy that would be too funny.

Yes, she was very mental. She was cool when we was just helping each other fight NM for items. We would joke and laugh I believe she was a fun person to hang with and then.....she just tell me this "Drama" story and she start acting strange.

I can understand her being hurt by it and not wanting to be reminded of it.
But, um, news flash, it's FFXI. :x Half of us play Mithra.

Poor thing, probably already had some problems in life and were multiplied exponentially from her boyfriend cheating on her for some chick he met in game. But from the sounds of it she already had quite a few "issues" and perhaps that's what pushed her bf over into leaving her for some in game girl.

When I first started playing I had a small circle of friends including a husband+wife couple who I had become relatively close to and had talked to over the phone on a few occasions.

A few months had passed, was in a jungles pt ~lv30 with a guy who claimed to be in a relationship with the wife of the couple I mentioned earlier. I was kinda confused so I just kept my mouth shut thinking it wasn't my business.

Anyhow it had been a few months after that jungles pt and I hadn't seen either of my two friends on my friend list. I asked around and found out they split up, husband had quit game and wife had server transferred, I assume, with the dude from the jungles pt.

better hope shes not reading this forum or shes gonna go Psycho on you in game.

So many relationships have been broken up because of this game and so many relationships have been formed because of this game.

That story does have a similar background to a few people I know :<
Mentioning names though is kinda not the way to put it.

Said person had met someone in game for 3years+ I believe.
And ended up taking some of his belongings ingame.
Stole some gil and stuff.
After he found out she was a dude.

Ive also had that similar problem.
Except I never pay for anyone else's account.

Another case, a friend went through some emo ***cause he had this 1 girl we both knew in game only. Just couldnt really talk to him bout stuff irl toward the relationship she was already still in.

I'm not afraid to use names because they have both quit, and it's a pathetic story. I like stupidity when it has nothing to do with me.

Superboy and Supergirl on my server started playing, and were a couple irl (gasp, with names like that?! No way!) Not sure which but they were engaged or married. They always did things together, but slowly did less and less in game together. Our LS noticed, but never asked.

One day Superboy decides to quit, giving his stuff away to his closest friends. Someone asked why.

"Supergirl left me for Rickey."
"Who?"
"The player, Rickey. She left me irl for someone on the internet."

So yeah. The rumor says that Supergirl and Rickey never met. But she left her irl partner for someone online. Super awesome.

Thats a stupid reason to hate mithras lol

Lol, I know a couple who was together irl for 6 years and played the game together. The girl recently dumped him for some guy she met on the game and now they're engaged or some ***.

Well, according to the story, that girl also had issues, so she is PARTLY at fault for his infidelity.

As for the guy, he's a dumbass for doing what he did.

Was there any kind of confirmation that the other Mithra might have been a guy?
