Its not like Rose strap became good last week. It has been a staple item for melee to have for 5 years.

Hopefully not to derail but, question to the career DRKs who did Apoc first: did you ever regret it for a second instead of rag?
Not trying to start a flame war but I'm finally taking up the task of making my first relic and I'm torn. I do a SHITLOAD of low man stuff but I also love fatty numbers so much. Both weapons would stroke my e-peen and I have access to any gear short of Legion(no salvage stuff either yet because I just don't care to do it, but I could get it if it was build make/break).

From what one of my friends was telling me he uses his apoc more but I guess its just personal preference. I've considered doing a ragnarok but its not my play style and i'd rather build relics for jobs I don't have one on.
It really depends on what you like, doesn't really matter what is better, each has its use. A good player will make each shine in any situation, the difference is really too small to go against what you like.

Need Kokou's Earring in first set to 5hit (from WS)
The first set you can go Ogier gauntlet+Phos(+1)+phorcys Schuhs and gain 6acc/3DA
But then you lose the chance at a set proc, but I think you'd be right that the 6acc/3DA would be a nice tradeoff.
Set bonus for two pieces is equivalent to 1% ODD if you're at max HP, less otherwise. 3 DA is far and away a better choice.
Ah okay wasn't sure on that. But replacing with those two pieces would only be 23% haste, unless I counted wrong?
Yeah, with the suggested swaps you'd be at 23% haste so the current set would be better.

You can add Kokou's earring to Austar's set or you can just WS in 6-7 more stp.
My set used Valk body, but you could swap in Ebody.

Taint and I are probably some of the oldest on these boards with Apoc that probably still play and I can say I have never regretted it one bit. I always tell someone that is trying to choose, Ragnarok is an awesome weapon, but with all that damage you do comes great responsibility with walking the line between hate and death. What good are you to a low man set if you are dead. Apoc is just Apoc, nothing more needs to be said. In the end it is up to you and your own play style and what you feel more comfortable using more.

Agree'd. Made the OAT gs for reso but more often then not only good for WS spam in things like VW. Always been in love with Apoc. I guess I just love the diverse nature of Drk and apoc is a good marriage of that.

No matter how you do the math, even is using RCB and using Hag(ammo) Tyrant(Ring) to make up for the STP 99 apoc using Cata with AM set is higher then using strictly entropy. Even if you use Cata first then use AM set while using entropy they would break even. Since the max damage entropy set would only come out about 100 damage higher per WS on higher end content? So not sure what your getting at Raelia unless just trolling lol.
