So,
BST lvl 99: Check
Sheep pet: Check
Reward food: Check
Entered dyna, pulled one mob and they all linked at the entrance even though it was what seemed to be a clean pull and then got spammed to death by AoEs.
RR'd and decided to try again from another angle, same thing.
I have bst affinity fully merited so I'm just wondering what I'm doing wrong? My rewards don't help much even though I'm wearing reward+ gear and am currently using eta food
Some pointers would be greatly appreciated

Some pointers would be greatly appreciated Get some PDT or evasion gear for pets...such as trial of the magian axes...they help greatly. Dont use sheep >.> dipper yuly for TH bst/dnc.

Maybe a little better gear, like the magian trial axes 2x pet pdt and at least 1 pet evasion. A decent reward set: ogre gloves, bison head piece, af2 feet, and MND where you can fit it. All of that is just optional, to answer your question best would be 1. If you have a unbeatable link let your pet die and don't engage or sic your pet on any other mob. It will do like a "carby pull" and only the initial mob will come after you. or 2. Go to a COP dynamis zone and once you kill all 5 time stones, find the set of mobs that are procable by ja's and move camp as the time changes. try this link http://wiki.bluegartr.com/bg/Category:Dynamis
Good Luck, Welcome back, and have fun!!!

ya dude avoid xarc unless ur doing it for gear then i suggest u go in score all TEs and beside TE2 ull find a lil tunnel with 3 mobs facing towards te2 all u do is bst/dnc pop out dipper and proc and kill away but be careful that rng mob is PH for the NM hes roughly a 15-30min popper HAVE FUN!

So Dipper is the best pet for dyna eh?
Noted, probably why they're like 100k a stack -.-
I'll work on the reward gear and for the axes, 2x pdt or the +20 eva?

There is also the moogle kupo d'état head piece you can get with pet -pdt and haste for pet. I use this and 2pdt axes and I am only level 94 and have been soloing since 90.
Now best places to farm currency is COP zones. However do to popularity they are almost always full and when one is empty or low on players people flock there like the snowbirds where I live in Florida. So Valkurm, qufim, and buburimu are all good and I think it is possible to solo dyna tavnazia. I duod with a friend but I got all the TEs myself except 1, however I would highly suggest to use sheep when getting to the TE behind the Taurus. Why? Because if ur yuly gets doomed there goes 10k gil as opposed to 500 gil and there are 5 taurus's that u need to get through but if ur lucky u can walk behind them and you don't have to Agro all
Good luck!

Oh and dippers are only so expensive cuz the crafting item sucks to farm. Lesser chigoe can be only farmed from elephant or sheep In TOAU and u have to Steal them. Steal proc rate blows and you could be there for an hour and get maybe 2 chigoes which is what is
needed for the craft. Thank God I can make them I just wish I could hq3 them in synergy more often than once in a blue moon.

Makes sense, so how does the pulling work? From my experience pulling more than like 2-3 monsters means any rewards won't help you the pet just dies or I get AoEd to death

If you only farming currency you should stick to CoP zones. Once you get the hang of things, you can make 100-250 currency (possibly more) on a single Dipper jug on CoP dyna zones. Of course this all depends on how many others are in the zone, procs, and bringing pet food. 1 Dipper can easily handle 5-7 EP mobs at once but you just need to make sure you can proc them all before it kills them. Best to stick to 1-3 though. If you are wanting Touches for upgrades, try DC mobs. Maybe superstition but I've got 30-35 touches a run a few times on DC but most I've seen on EP's was about 10.
As bst/dnc I usually average about 175 in all 4 CoP zones. I just find the one with least amount of people and go there. Once you start getting above 10 people in first three zones, or 3+ in Tav, it's really not worth going in especially if they are mostly BST's.
Definitely get at least one, if not two, -PDT axes. The lvl 99 versions are nice. -11% each and one of the highest base dmg axes besides relic/mythic/emp @ 99.
And use a sheep jug, or even a frog jug to get statue time ups. That way if you link, you can just kill the statue then release the aggro. Or do what I do, just train all that aggro to all the rest of the statues and then release it :)

Personally I wouldn't try to solo Dynamis Xarc. For farming currency the best places are the dreamland areas. The starting Dynamis zones seem to have less "space" to pull/farm at. Mobs on top of mobs. My favorite zone is Dynamis Qufim, the easiest zone to find the 20min TE imo at least.
As stated above -pdt items are good. I have no -pdt equips btw and still manage 150-200 coins depending on how many people are in there. Most of my equips enhance reward effects. I tend to have to use less food and my pet can tank at least 5 mobs while I work on procing them. You might also want to dump some merits into reward timers.
And as also stated above use sheeps to kill TE and use Faithful Falcorr or Yuly to farm. I prefer Falcorr :). Good luck!

Beastman Job:Proc Relationship (Proc Rates assume 5 TEs acquired)
Monster Job Proc Class Proc Rate
RNG, NIN, BST, MNK, THF Job Abilities ~20%
BLM, WHM, RDM, SMN, BRD Spells ~5%
PLD, DRK, SAM, WAR, DRG Weapon Skills ~15%
This is how you determine what to proc, Dreamland zones have their own special and unique system based off the zone (in terms of which mobs get proc'd at what time, etc.)
http://wiki.bluegartr.com/bg/Dynamis
That link will give you the zones and what procs during what time.

Basically in CoP zones you follow around the JA mobs as bst/dnc. Remember jug pet abilities also count. Spam steps and flourishes until proc then kill quickly; rinse and repeat.
In original zones it's a bit harder to single out JA only mobs but doable. Mostly only go there to help with clears or gear/touches.

You can also Harvest them.. which really isnt that bad.. if you have a friend with synergy and cooking they can make quite a bit of Dipper jugs. It takes me 6 Lesser chigoes to make 2-3 stacks of Dipper. 1 Dipper/run will last you a long time.
Also, even after you learn the TE's/procing system it all comes down to being patient with pulls and using a little shake n bake. Take your time with TE's and you'll have more time to farm currency after.

Well i like dyna Xarc as BST/DC solo. TE are easy and mobs arent to bad. My gear isnt really great, i use twilight armor for reraise, the rest is af3+1 and some melee stuff. I dont have the trial axes or anything gear i can think of that boost pet def or eva, but i rarely die in dyna, maybe once a week. Use Dipper as a pet with some pet food, proc and kill. IF you get a link you cant win or dont want the other mobs, tell your pet to leave and then call beast again.
Dyna is really simple as a BST once you understand your hate relation with your pet. If your still having trouble, find another BST to duo with and see how they do it before you solo.

Necro bumb!!!!
If you havent found out yet just by checking the other bst, you have to sub dancer and spam steps and flourish. Pet sic works too but its a bigger delay. Any job ability works but its the most efficient way to do it.
Also, basic knowledge; You need to have all the extend to get the red procs. white procs is not possible unless you dont have a sub job and that would make you very unefficent as bst. only job that should go there without a sub job on solo is dancer.
And like it was said by the post above yours, there is some restriction on what mob will be proc'ing. If you go in dreamland you have to hunt some types of mobs at a certain time of vanadiel day. If you fight in the contest region dynamis, it depend on the mobs job. Check on bgwiki for more information on that.
