Trying to convince the silly one-hander people that 1k attack is nothing for a DRK is always a joy.

/sam is greater then /war. In the fastest zergs you'll be capped on attack the entire time making berzerk worthless. You shoudl also have fighters roll which lowers the DA value from /war. Add that to sekka, med and hasso if the fight last longer then 3min and /sam is a clear winner.
Capped on attack really? someone didnt see the 1400+ attk yet

Just wondering, I looked through the thread for a definitive answer, but didn't find one lol, some people put Moonshade in second ear and some people put Bale. Is there a consensus on this?

Bale is a good second place if you don't have Moonshade yet. (Or you foolishly got a different augment than Atk/TPbonus)

Shooting from the hip but Claymore. Although rose should be the best.

Is it due to the FTP transfer?

How bad does Prosilio lose out?

And fortis falls along the same lines as Whirlwind I assume? A minor increase with attack is capped?

Yes, because of the fTP transfer it loses by a lot.

I don't know how far ahead fortis is with capped attack off the top of my head, though.

In napkin notation, Soil/Soil is adding a Double Attack worth of damage without the overall accuracy drop of an additional hit to land.

If you wanted an equivalence, your best bet is adding STR. Even with a crappy 140 STR set (leaving about 30 STR of 'headroom' or potential in gear) and a 120 damage AH sword, you need +69 STR in Neck and Belt to match Soil/Soil, or half that to replace one or the other. Get a better weapon or a better build and this just goes up even higher.

'Not even close' is a staggering understatement.

Can't beat the fTP bonus with anything, really.

Well I was thinking of the merits of a full STR build for consistency (maybe higher numbers!) versus one using the notable Brutal Earring and Atheling pieces for DA chance.

I was at a crossroads because of my insistence on using pole grip for my TP phase. The grip shares synergy with my sub for VW or WAR sub in general with the JT trait, the Brutal and Atheling possess atk/DA which also work in favor with WAR sub and Fighter's Roll.

I was wondering if pumping STR would do better (and be more consistent) then relying on DA to kick in (even though it is at an alarmingly high rate).

In using the Prosilio belt I saw my other DA pieces and sought to remove them from WS. At 300% TP I used Vulcan Pearl/Bale, Replaced Atheling with Fortis and Soil Belt with Prosilio.

After 3 provenance watchers I wasn't seeing results I was liking, and in addition to Auster's reply It all seems very clear to me.

Pardon me if I'm being slow here, this is all moot because of the nature of resolution and fTP transfer you get the bonus on the DA'd hits as well? Making the elemental belts King, Prosilio useless and by extension the -5%DA it gives irrelevant and pointless to build around.

As far as I know, on fTP transfer WSs, any extra hits are also at reduced fTP, but do benefit from gorget/ele. belt. As far as Brutal Earring for WS, if your attack isn't capped, depending on the level of the mob Moonshade/Bale can beat Brutal/Moonshade.

As far as I've been able to tell, and as far as I've seen (there isn't much), the base fTP is transferred to every single hit in the weaponskill, so that does include multiattacks.

Generally you can look at DA/TA/QA as an average increase to your fTP over time. Whether or not it's superior to another piece would depend on how much STR you're getting out of the swap as well as your attack and hitrate.

It would be hard to tell with Resolution, DA/TA/QA are a 1.0ftp add and resolutions ftp sits close to 1 with gorget/belt

Here is my TP set:

GSword is OA2, and this set gives me a 6 hit on DRK/WAR. Are there any obvious ugrades I can make, aside from Ragnarok?

On that note, Claymore vs Pole Grip. (Sword strap ruins hit build.)

I see your ws section, and it looks like it should work, so I have no idea. I assume it works just fine for your war?
