What is the possible evasion cap for pretty much most of Abby? Just been wondering as to if any of the atma with evasion is acutally worth even using on dnc (but would probably need it for my mnk's evasion).
Depends on the target and their accuracy. Evasion doesn't "cap" per se, but enemy hit rate has a minimum value at 20%, meaning that once you reach 80% evasion, additional evasion will do absolutely nothing.
Against most targets in Abyssea, a Dancer will be capped to nearly capped on Evasion naked after Standard (RR/GH/Apoc) atmas. Offline

Maybe that would be a good thing to have on the front page since i see that question come up a lot: which combination of daggers is better than others. Or at least a better way of finding out.
And while we're on the subject I'll ask my question: im going to be finishing up my 90 twash soon and start qilin spamming for pouches so eventually would expect a coruscanti to drop. Would i be bbetter off pairing 90 twash with it or stick to STR thokcha? That depends on the target.
If your attack is high compared to the enemy's defense, and/or you have capped fSTR, Coruscanti starts to pull ahead. Front page updated with new section.

Physical Damage Taken -4% is a good choice, since that's the most we can get in a leg slot anyway! Mirke Wardecors Actually, DNC doesn't get much use out of this. We have better options for almost every purpose, except for one: Fast Cast body. If you really have nothing better for which to use this body, you can augment it with Fast Cast +5 and Evasion +10 for casting Utsusemi. I think just about any other job can get better use out of an ACP body, though. Moonshade Earring Moonshade isn't make or break for DNC. Allow me to make this perfectly clear: Under no circumstances should you be wearring a Regain moonshade earring. Maybe it's good for RNG or something, but it's not good for any engaged melee, don't even think about it. Hey, I see you thinking about it. Stop that. If you're like, super mage-centric you can make a refresh earring or something, but virtually all melee jobs benefit from the following augment pair, so you can get a lot of use out of the following earring: TP Bonus +25 Attack +4 For many WS, this is the all-end-all earring and it's difficult to beat. For critical WS, it offers a nice critical hit rate boost as well as a boost to attack. For attack varying WS, it offers a substantial attack boost. For fTP varying WS, it directly increases the damage as well as provides attack. Put simply, it's a very sexy earring. Dance Shoes You can receive these augmented with up to +4% Waltz Potency by completing the Abyssea-Tahrongi quest A Sterling Specimen, although it will likely take you hundreds of attempts. I have been going back and forth about fast cast on the head for mages or waltz. Looks like waltz it is! For mages, Scholar has AF2 head and everyone gets Nares/Hyaline, just to further the "no other job gets as much benefit" idea.
Do you think splitting the pants between waltz tp cost and phanton roll reduction would be worth it? Cant see anything else be worth it to pair with -phantom roll recast besides maybe MAB for a few things.

Thanks to this thread for the motivation to get it done. On a side note, Im having problems with my DNC xml for when Saber is up to equip Etoile Tights +2. I tried when Buff is active rule = equip, but doesnt work. How do you do this properly? Macro for Saber Dance and equip the pants at the same time? :S

Wiki used to say it does, but now it doesn't say one way or the other.
Easy for someone to test that's not me since I can't leave abyssea atm. Either way, I was sure it did at one point (tested it because I was skeptical about Wiki). It's possible that it was a ninja-patch at some point after I tested it, though.
