It isn't that great of a ws, Chant is way better and also chains with amorphic spikes for darkness.
If you don't have chant though, this ws will be a nice addition once you manage to get the 115 merits you'll have to get to unlock the category and then merit it to full strength.
in abyssea i am avg 2800 to 3800 with peaks of 6000
What atmas and what job are you using? and how many times is it meritted
I'd imagine they're using awful atma. The WS itself is pretty terrible, more so on anything worthwhile.

In addition to that being a so-so atma setup, data would be necessary to draw anything from your estimates. You're talking about this WS absolutely eclipsing CDC, when the WS has been tested thoroughly to be not even close to it.
Unless something's changed, the WS is only good for things that are resistant to physical damage(and for Pil's shield effect). For everything else, CDC wins by leaps and bounds.

Yea, I have it and used it on PLD. Using the same setup your using and personally IDK maybe different for WAR or DRK but with 100tp I was pulling 600-1k and 300tp maybe hitting 1k+ sometimes so yea I'd like to see some pics lol.

They have to be because the sword ws pulls no where near those numbers, not even with 300tp which helps barely anything. Soooo, If it is sword teach me your ways because I can't anywhere close to 2k with it let alone 6k thats just ridiculous.

Anyone here upgraded the sword 5/5 curious if it'll actually break 2k. Right now it seems bad though.
So also without CDC it's worthless?
From what I've seen this ws is completely situational as it's Non-elemental based dmg like Minjo said. The ws itself is cool looking but very bad numbers lol.

im mostly using savage blade + goblin rush for self light sc, doing good dmg for me. ill try this out though once unlocked (and fully upgraded) with quad, since i think it beats disseverment as spell.
I was playing with it a bit on various NMs on RDM today, for fun, Seemed to pull out a pretty consistent 950-1200 in both a MND set up, and MAB set up on Rani's pop chariot, Empousa, Isgebind.
Used both /sch and /pld. 4/5 merits in it.
As far as I can see, it's better than VB and Death Blossom for RDM.
(I've only really pissed arround with RDM sword stuff, didn't bother with serious ws sets for VB or DB)
*Edit* Haven't bothered finishing Almace yet. I'll lvl BLU first.
