Went 1/1 and 1/1 (same mob on stone and bone) IT crab in tree.
Gotten a few to drop from IT mobs in the bottom of the Boyodah Tree, appears to just drop from anything VT and up.
Yea.... dont fight anything tough and below. You wont get drop -_- wasted so much time lol. VT+ only
3hr2min farming T+ mobs no drop on several zones...extreemly bad luck i guess :(

got 2 stones and fossil bone from the Hovering Oculus in Ranguemont Pass -- was zero competition on Bahamut~ Took about 30 minutes with blu/thf + whm 2box

got fang and stone from GOV skeletons in LoO
idk maybe they do drop off all DC, but was killing them nonstop for 3 hours. No luck. went 2/6 on VT pots
So the consensus so far is any non-Abyssea Very Tough or IT mob?

Also, what is the "fang" item people are talkin' about?
Got one off of an EM Balayang in Fei'yin. Most of them checked T, but the one I got it from was EM. Not sure what level they are. Went 1/5ish.

you turn those into NPcs (found one in bastok) and they give you items to use during the fight to make it easier, I'm guessing, like what we used in promies?

Do you need fang AND bone or just one or the other?

from how SE explained it in the forums. if you get just the needed items for the fight then its recommended to be done with about 6 people. if you get the extra items then it can be beaten solo. so if you just wanna get it done with and have friends then just get what you need to start the fight (which would be the stone i believe... idk i'm waiting for things to die down a bit before i jump in >.>;)
Gustav Tunnel had a very high drop rate. 7 stones pretty quickly.
