Consistency in UI is an important thing IMO as it makes things more streamlined and convenient for repeated and practical use.
I for one really miss my Xbox 360. Debating if I should buy one this xmas.
Yes get the 250GB slim with the built in WIFI. Love the newer console.
I'm not saying it runs cold, but it's not AS hot as the old model 360.

Eh. Most people always hate the new dashboard when it comes out, same with when facebook changes. But after about a week no one really cares anymore.

MS at least waits for a few months to change something.

Facebook seems to be doing it every god damn day.

My problem with notifications is when I'm playing fifa.

Is gold required for use of Netflix?
I mean, it's worth having gold all the time of course, but I'm just curious...

Kinect dashboard actually stopped the Jtag 360s getting online.

Okay so if I were to get myself a new Xbox, what are some must have accessories and whatnot?
I know the rechargable battery kit is definitely a must have as I rather not fumble with alkaline batteries every couple of weeks.
Also, if I do get some games for online play, a bluetooth is probably mandatory as well as that flimsy headset it comes with won't do justice I'd imagine.

The Netflix deal is pissing me off. It looks completely HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE and the 3 times I've been on it since they did the update last night, I've had to type in my email and password for Netflix. Let me watch the Backyardigans, gd it!

I'm not a big fan of the revamp of the layout they did on it. As for the email and password once you type it in that first time it should automatically load it up from then on I haven't had to redo that part.

A couple friends of mine said they only had to do it once, too. For some reason our xbawks hates me, so I guess that's it.

Just updated netflix and logged in.
Remembered all my old netflix acct info from before the update.
Xbox hates you because you're taru.

Plug and play kit is good, I have 3 wired headsets and the wireless one, been debating getting a pair of Triton's as well, an extra controller is always good mine atm is starting to wear that's about it.

Pardon my ignorance, but what consists of a plug and play kit?
Also wireless anything will likely be mandatory as I intend to use this as my hub in the living room which has the sofa/coffee table a good 8+ feet away.

I use a wired 360 controller.
I'm not one of those guys to carry my wireless controller in the bathroom and talk on PT chat.
creeps me out.
And batteries die in the end(Even the play and charge ones).
It's more cost effective to buy wired.

It's a rechargeable battery pack and has a wired cord that charges your battery while you still play and once it finishes you can just unplug it and go back to the freedom of wireless

AKA how the PS3 controller works but with a cord 3x as long so it's actually useful.

I use to have the dual battery charge kit and both flipping battery packs decided at the same time they was going to break at the plugin -.-;
