Hi everyone, i started as a career SAM but slowly fell in love with THF and now im a full time THF. I do try to better myself as my THF has become my pride and joy. So thought i would toss my WS set in here and check for improvements.

Now im aware the headpiece can be swapped out for a Aias, just havent got around to it as of yet. As for the neck would it be better to switch out to a Agasaya Collar?

Finally The Hct. Leggings have a augment of STR+1 ATT+1

Empy and Relic not got yet but are on the cards to come soon enough :) So for now its std daggers.

Any advice be greatly appreciated

Head could also be swapped to anwig with crit/ws dmg augments. Rancor collar is a must for the neck slot. Other than that, I only see small improvements like heca legs/feet+1(with augments). Dex earrings might be better as well?

I WS with an Oneiros Helm, Dex rings, and an Anguinus Belt. Evisceration avg 1.6-2.2k damage. Outside of Abby.

So the Anwig Salade would be with overall stats:

DEF:21 HP+10 MP+10 "Subtle Blow"+3
DEX+4 Increases Critical Hit Damage (+2%)
AGI+4 Increases weapon skill damage (+2%)

Compared to Aias Bonnet:

DEF: 31 HP -20 STR +8 DEX +8 Accuracy +5.

Its a close one to call. And i really hate that moogle with a passion >.>

As for the neck:

ccuracy +6 "Tonberry's Grudge"
Tonberry's Grudge: (with max tonberry hate)
Critical Hit Rate +5%
Damage Taken +10%

This looks nice its the 10% damage taken im not liking. I dont get hit much on THF but when i do outside aby especially it hurts a lot lol. Then again i guess 10% isnt that much really.

Looked at the dex earrings, would Dex+3/4 be better than ATT+7?

the 10% DT means absolutely nothing assuming you set your macros up properly. Your WS gear should be equipped for no more than 1 second at a time. As for the anwig, the 2% crit/ws should be a much larger improvement for evis than 4 dex and 8 str.

edit: cuchu belt will beat anguinus as long as you don't need the extra acc from anguinus. I'm not sure about the dex earring beating aesir.

meh sorry about that for some strange and random reason (no idea how or why) i wrote that 10% DT while i was thinking about TPing lol. Looking back now and re-reading it yeah it look silly xD

Neck piece sorted then :)

As for the head piece, i guess it means i must kill the giant moogle again. Just when i thought i never had to see him ever again ; ;

Do you think Arch sandoria boss can be low manned? info is scarce
We've popped him several times, got a couple lances, a few helms. He drops the cest everytime and a 100 once in a great while. As far as being low-manned, Idk. I doubt it. He casts death and likes to do an AOE stomp that ignores shadows.

Might be done with 12 though, if you consider that Low-Man

Edit: I strongly recommend treasure hunter, as you can't stagger Dynamis Arch Bosses.

Would DEX earring(s) be better to replace Aesir earring? Imma assume keeping brutal is still the way to go?

you're not missing much to be honest.

head should be swapped for either anwig/aias/the feather hat with 12 dex.

neck piece - rancor collar for any crit his ws

heca hands +1 with crit dmg +4%/dagger skill+ should be better than af3+2

heca legs+1 with crit hit rate +

heca feet +1 aswell, cant think of better feet

And I said no. You are cutting into your dot in the tp phase by removing raider's boomerang. So, no. All I did was answer your question, so unless you know what you are talking about, jog on.

It was proven long ago when these items first came out.

The only time I can see using the tathlum on thf is if you are getting tp elsewhere, like regain atmas or something and coming in just for ws.

Edit: and its also only a 5%couple crit damage.

OP asked about Evisceration in which tathlum does win. Wasn't asking about tp phase...

I am sure, being as how the boomerang is in the OP to begin with, that he cares about tp as well.

The whole point about optimizing WS damage is to optimize total damage; increasing WS damage at the cost of more TP phase damage would be counter-productive for any purpose except epeen SS.

Thanks for the responses everyone its much appreciated. Yeah i factored the Boomerang in for the TP. the faster you build TP the quicker you get to WS and in general will do more DMG over time in comparrison to the Tathlum. But i appreciate your input all the same.

Yeah im looking at the Anwig atm, gonna get Aias in the mean time till i can get people to fight that rechid moogle again ; ; Wonder if 2xSAM and a Ukon WAR could kill it before it runs off the first time?

Valefor.Caelir said: »

Yeah im looking around for this, still trying to find one in the 400k region.

Valefor.Caelir said: »

I read somewhere that the AF3+2 hands even with the augs would still do better. Not sure tho, not like the hands are difficult to get anymore. Will test them out.

Valefor.Caelir said: »
heca legs+1 with crit hit rate +

I would love these but im not in a shell that does nidhogg at all or HNM's for that matter so these i believe may just be out of my reach.

Valefor.Caelir said: »

Yeah i went to get the +1 at the time, but i couldnt get my self to pay 2mil over the NQ price for 1STR and 1DEX. I just couldnt do it lol

Once again thanks for the input. Any potential upgrades to the rings and earrings?

Thanks Chaos
