* The completion time may be subject to change.

[Affected Service]
FINAL FANTASY XI

* The FINAL FANTASY XI client will be automatically updated. After the date and times listed above, pressing the "Play" button and following the on-screen instructions will begin the update.

* The World Transfer Service will be unavailable starting 30 minutes before the maintenance. Please wait until after the maintenance is completed before attempting to use this service.

Nothing mentioned in the dev tracker, so I'm not sure.

Off topic but I'm scared of the halloween themed moogles for the community reps:

Seems S-E would have already nerfed the Chocobo Blinkers thing if they wanted to. Not like it's hot/new information, really.

Of course, you could just be joking, and in that case, I got whoooshed.

I don't think it would be a nerf since we are installing a patch.

It probably is a fix to some third party exploit. I can't imagine it is some update to the UI, or new items being added to our dats.

I found this in the official forums:

SE said:
Regarding Funguar Familiar and Discreet Louise
We have confirmed that the parameters that should be attached to Discreet Louise are actually attached to the Funguar Familiar. This is definitely a bug, so we will get this issue fixed. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.

blah blah blah, some other stuff about BST pets

We also confirmed an issue where Doom wasn't taking effect against avatars and pets in Dynamis-Tavnazia and we're currently working on a fix.

was that a bug? My understanding was that it was changed so that you could wrap to previously obtained OPs.

well there has also been reports of many bugs with Sneak and Invis. in dynamis areas also. Where sneak and invis cast via spells are actually only lasting at most 30 sec to 1 min and wear without the typical 30 warning countdown. that might be some of it also.

they made it so you could warp to previously obtained OP's, but then when you tried to warp back to home nation, NPC said "sry bud"

so supposedly fixed so you can go both ways meow

This has happened to me several times, but only with Sneak. Invisible worked properly though.

Maybe they'll fix the fact that every xbox user freezes during Voidwatch Tier 3/4 every other battle.

There's already a fix.

There was an issue where the hints in voidwatch was "target is vulnerable to _ special abilities". Not sure if it happened on more then one, but during an aello fight a few people got that.
