AMC walking dead [Spoilers]
Brain is the governor. And not really sure why anyone would dare enter this thread if they weren't expecting spoilers.

Brian Harriot is the name he saw on the barn in the "good governor" episode, and used as a new identity, which kind of slightly backfired when he ran into Martinez again. OMG everyone STFU about the comic books already. thx. you all read them. we get it. get over it.
awesome episode. gonna be tough to sleep tonight and a long wait til February. Quetzalcoatl.Kainstryder said: » Fasaga said: » Brain is the governor. I don't mind if they talk about the comics really. I'd prefer it in spoilers though because I do plan to read them. x.o The show doesn't really need to be in spoilers because... well, the thread is for the show, lol.
Tonight's episode gave me lots of mixed feelings! It's great that they've managed to salvage a few odds and ends here and there to rebuild the prison gate and put a few simple spike traps at the entrance, but if that were me, I'd be fortifying everything. I'd probably also modify a muscle car with a locomotive-style grill and a whole lot of spikes, on the off-chance I encounter a horde while out on supply runs. Might seem a little Mad-Maxy, but hey, it'd work! This comment was brought on after the fiasco in the 'quarantine' zone. Honestly, they quarantine people who are dying (news flash: when someone dies, they come back as a zombie!) and they don't think to close and lock their flippin' cells? They just make so many rookie mistakes. I'm just about to watch the latest episode so I can't read anything else in fear of spoilers, even though I've read the comics Valefor.Endoq said: » I'm Bored. -_______- What's up, 'doq? Dunno why I thought of this but wouldn't it be cool if-- Comic Spoiler!
Having said that, I'm glad the end picked up because I was losing interest pretty quickly with that stupid infection crap. I can't sort out why exactly, but my favorite episode was 6 which is about the Governor. After defending the show earlier in this thread, this episode put things really off track...
Sorry to bum you out, but this is a People vs. People show with zombies here and there.
The one army chick made the point that they had committed to it and couldn't really back out once it started. Good or bad. That's what I think anyway Fairy.Spence said: » Comic Spoiler! I can't sort out why exactly, but my favorite episode was 6 which is about the Governor. Walking dead's two best scenes: Sophia Walks out of the barn. Lori's fears about zombie baby inside of her. I'm a guy and that still gives me the creeps every time I think about it. Fairy.Spence said: » Sorry to bum you out, but this is a People vs. People show with zombies here and there. The one army chick made the point that they had committed to it and couldn't really back out once it started. Good or bad. That's what I think anyway It wasn't always People vs. People...sometimes it was People vs. Zombies with People mixed in between (bar shootout, season 2; Rick Vs. Shane). I'm referring to the large scale battles. I get that there are going to be rival settlements and what have you, but it just burns you out after a while--especially with this whole Governor thing. The way it played out last night was just very predictable. And committed to it or not, its real easy to break that commitment by saying "Hey, this guy with the eyepatch is crazy, and we have guns too." Since the zombies aren't getting "smarter" (not saying they should) and no exploration of the cause, there's only so many ways you can spin a slow creeping predator. Season 4 has shown us that the threat of death is everywhere which makes a prison/hospital/hotel with individual locking rooms the smartest way to keep casualties to a minimum.
If shenanigans are still going on at the prison, in Carol's absence, then it's possible that Carol didn't kill those two. The only logical explanation for her to say she did was that it was one/more of the kids. The girls were so pro-zombie at that point that it wouldn't likely be them. Carl, most likely. Second bloody baby carrier/car seat in the series. :(
Maybe I'm just trying to console myself. Caitsith.Zahrah said: » Second bloody baby carrier/car seat in the series. :( Maybe I'm just trying to console myself. amazing episode the walking dead always manages to amaze me just when i think its getting abit boring

That's what people that read the books then complain about whatever movie or show it was made into; and every criticism of it mentions that they read the book and why it was better. now to be bored out of my *** until archer or game of thrones starts back up ; ;

Tonight's episode gave me lots of mixed feelings! Understandable. I think if you didn't hitch your cart to the phenomena beforehand, the experience will be more enjoyable for yourself and others if you enjoy them as separate entities first. That's how I try to go about it, at least. I tried reading 'Game of Thrones' (Yes, bandwagoning. For shame!), but would rather put the reading on the backburner, so I don't succumb to vomiting endless complaints about the series. Nobody wants to be that person. Caitsith.Zahrah said: » I tried reading 'Game of Thrones' (Yes, bandwagoning. For shame!) so did my wife, I don't think she got very far either. If I spend time reading, which doesn't happen much these days, it's got to be some history or something real. poop on fantasy. we're completely off topic though, so I'm going to go hide in NI again. I wouldn't say it's anything like that. I don't bring up how the Comic is better than the TV Show in some ways whenever I'm talking to someone. That would be stupid. I only bring it up when I feel the comic did something better than the TV show. I don't think every single thing the comic did was better.But yes. I do *** think some things are done better in the comic book. So don't *** when you see people just making observations. To some one adaption may be better than the other or maybe both are equally well done. There is a link to the two adaptions, and it seems like the TV series is actually going to follow the comic book story more closely after the last few episodes. If I remember correctly I saw something about Kirkman being excited to possibly have another TV show for the walking dead in the works following an independent story line, so he wasn't locked into a story and could let his imagination run free. If people start comparing that to the comic, sure, I could understand that being annoying. Unless it's bad. If it's bad then *** it compare it to anything you want. TL:DR; Stop bitching, people will bring up the comic because you know it is kind of related to the television show. Also, to share an opinion with other readers of the comic with a comic spoiler:
