Only the saber shoot.... i got my serpent rumors and opal silk last week... this week has been a 100% gug nightmare of BS ; ; 0/200 is my new total sofar.

Soles bate rate is kinda low, but you can cap at 96 on them, cave cherex will get you to 100+ easy
Wow. So yesterday I turned in bhefhel marlin and got a pirate's chart. I've been needing one to catch bigger fish. T_T
I thought today I would dual box 2x smn to get it done. I got 1 yagudo drink for each and ran both chars to beach. I popped the BCNM only to realize i wasn't in a party, so needless to say I panicked and died. xD
Anyway, I spent all day catching more marlins and went back to see zaldon. Thankfully I got another Pirate's Chart! I had some leftover marlin and didn't want to waste trading them while I had an item in inventory.
I decided to try and delivery box it to myself. I assume it would count that it was out of my inventory so I could keep trading in case on the off chance I got another one. I sent it to myself then hit 'return to sender' because I wasn't exactly sure when it's technically out of my inventory.
I'm glad I did. :D

I'm thinking I may need to step this up to 200 in a row trade ins for a better chance. I would hope I wouldn't go over 0/400 and I'd rather do a straight shot of 200 in hopes of it >_<
I suppose what I could do is fish up cave cherax until Sunday gut them up and possibly get dwarf pugil and save them until I feel ready to do matsya
I'd be gettin skill ups while preparing for matsya

Personally I want to do the apron then waders asap... I'd want mooching after but I don't think its as hypercritical as the less item fishup or skill from waders. I think having an albatross ring or two counteracts the Mooching until you can get it.
Not 100% on that though if someone else would like to confirm.

Stall > 110 cap item > apron > waders > mooching > other items
And mooching isnt needed if you have a monkey reel them in for you
That's the consensus I had exactly on order of items.
On the 30th or so trade.... I had 165 to give him lol.... The amazing part about this is that I have enough left over to not only repay Kalilla and her boyfriends debt for the help... but enough left over for a dragon steak dinner and a night out at the hooker house in Aht Urghan!

I want to say most of it was strength in numbers and consistency. I've probably been working on ebisu alone for 1.5-2 weeks max hammering out everything i could with major help from Kalilla and Dameion her boyfriend. So thank you thank you thank you for the help! Can't wait for Sunday!

You can pretty much fish naked and save the inventory space for fish

Dunno about that. I have 100 Skill + 5 from Mega Moglfication: Fishing + 6 from gear for a total of 111 with Puffin and Albatross rings for more time + more chance to hook gugs. I rarely EVER lost any catches due to skill, though I did still lose some... In the 150 I personally caught I maybe lost 10 to skill.

I highly suggest doing MMM for charts:
1. Almost always a fish maze in the saved mazes (on my server at least)
2. Stupidly easy to make a basic freshwater fish maze that is next to impossible to lose.
3. Charts are extremely common. I usually get at least 1 every 3 runs.
4. Get a few friends to afk in Jeuno for 15 min to use their maze. Charts drop to pool.

No but you might be overlooking the fact that even if you do 100% everything right and deplete it correctly and try to pull it up... the game will physically tell you that you lost the catch due to lack of skill. It's not something you can avoid except adding more skill+ gear and KI enhancements from mog house or the latent +46 fishing skill from ebisu.

That... is fantastic. I woke up to a good number of sales on the gugs and sold all my crocs. I have a tell history that leads me to believe that two people got a saber shoot and someone else got a puffin ring.

Really? Figured Apron would of been important due to the "less chance of fishing items"
May I ask why Stall would be first?

Being a bit of a noob I know haha but for the most all I knew about on fishing was Serpent Rumors or GTFO lol and the Apron/smock
With stall, its a 15k gp item, and with Megamoglification fishing you get +5 fishing skill. Once you hit 100 cap you have to talk to the guild master, and then you must buy a gp item for 10k that allows you to fish up tiger sharks which are the fish needed for master rank and to unlock 100-110. I just listed apron 3rd since its 100k.

You only need stall, and perhaps "The big one" if you have some other elements in your house.
The other GP items only give normal fishing mog enhancement.
