can someone tell me why I can't fish up matsya any more? I used to beable to fish them up no problem with alot of line breaks But after the update it keeps saying "lost due to lack of skill" with Ebisu Fishing 110+7+MegaMog+AdvSupport. anyone else have the same problem? heres to hoping that I don't need every GP furnishings.
It's still the same crappy droprate. Didn't improve, didn't get worse.

Skillup question, if I may.
Does the recommended skill up path still apply with the Fishing UI upgrade from a few version updates ago?
I'm @ 11 now from before the UI update. I went to Nashmau to try to catch (the name escapes me at the moment), but it Regens too fast for me to ever be able to land it.
Should I stick to fish I can land, or forever lose the fish from it being too high? I really only want to get to 30 so I can start gutting fish. I'm getting some big ones from Mog Garden's nets.

I would say the only real way to tell anymore is take a look at the ah. Most of the fish caught now days i have seen are crafted by the person catching them, and sushi or anything worth time to craft turns into a undercut war real fast.
With the crafting skill up bonus going what is a good fish to go from 100-110? I'm trying to find ones with a decent bite rate and not insane blickers. I've tried the tree and catching shens but neither seemed decent for skilling.
Cave cherax, but i woudlnt be surprised if the crafting campaign did not apply to fishing or synergy.

Supposidly it does to fishing at least according to people during last one.
There use be soem fishing trick for skillign up where you caught fish that were to small or maybe to big for your rod so you lost the catch but could still get skill ups. What exactly was this trick and is it still around?
you could use a composite rod to catch fish too small for it, but im not sure if it applies to fish 95+ (the only fish i can think of small at that level is dil/sole) all of the fish 100+ will be big fish. You can apply the reverse of that method but you will just be breaking rods

Been making great strides with fishing lately. Got it from 45 to 86 in about a week, and got myself a fisherman's smock, waders, puffin ring, noddy ring, and most recently seagull ring.
Working on getting Heron ring now, plus Albatross and of course continue to skill up.
I wish Windows 10 didn't cause POL to crash when you launch it through Windower, otherwise my profile here would actually be updated. One of these days I'll get around to doing a clean install of it.

Are there any good things to fish in the escha zones? I haven't checked them out, but i just saw a message saying someone caught a persikos. How does one get a fruit to bite? (in Reisen)
