before i start with the problem im encountering would like to thank you for this thread has help me clarify plenty of things about fishing. i started trading moat carp for my lu shangs fishing rod bk in 2004 or so i use to trade a bit here and there whenever i remembered recently i started fishing seriously and well took the moat carp path to lv up and work towards getting my rod at the same time. well it seems the npc keeps resetting the moat carp count for no reason sometimes. the other day my count was 83362 carps 0.O i saw it and was like wtf i though only 10,000 carps were needed but i though it was some weird glitch and didn't mind it too much. then yesterday count was 763 and today was down to 365 and after i waited a bit without doing any trading count was up to 369. i call a GM and they told me to check forums /sigh.
if anyone can give me some advice of why this happening will be greatly appreciated. i don't want to keep losing all the carp i trade from fishing or buying to this

Shen NPC in jeuno for about 2.6k, Zaldon does not accept them atm.
i fished in morimar basalt fields and got hard boiled eggs off sinking/minnow and meatballs from the hot springs, and steamed jagil (monster) from sinking/minnow.
Found nothing that NPC'd for more than 230G so far.
Did they up the rate at which Opal Silk and Saber Shoot are obtained? I went 1/23 & 1/9 respectively today. ***was cray.

Yes, they also upped droprate on Ridill

Shen are 100+ skill. takes forever to haul in. used Meatballs.

Has anyone further tested Shens? Consistent bite rate, can it snap Lu? Might be a good skillup/money spot for those without an Ebisu.

Since it has legendary in its description, i would say 99% certainty it can break lu shangs.
Anybody test these at Zaldon? What do they NPC for?

Anyone caught a Black Prawn yet? Appears in a number of new cooking recipes.
I finally got the shawl last night, 1/258. I could have gotten a relic instead. \o.o/
Anyone willing to share info on mussel catching, BG wiki says Robber or Sabaki rig on the secret beach in Foret de Hennetiel but that's only giving me jellyfish, logs and Monsters. I tried the other lures I had on me and found Shrimp, Minnow and sinking minnow gave Bloodblotch, which were pretty easy to pull in and gave good skill ups at level 20 fishing.
They change skill rate? Gained 4 levels today and didnt even capp at 200. might just b luck.

whats everyones reel in rate on Matsayas? His skill is 109 atm, he has Stall, Waders, Fishing Smock, other gear and torque (Rings are Albatross and Puffin) and yesterday he got 16 fish in about 200 pugils... while i was holding the 5 Monster-Fish

Are you fishing up the items so they don't consume the bait? I get about 8-10 matsya with 60ish pugils. 98 fishing atm
wait wait.. when you fish up items you dont use the bait? haha ok that explains the bad rates we have and why all your numbers are higher.... good to know :x thx alot for the information. Never really cared about items/bait before so didnt know lol

if you can, hold them on another toon, saves on bait
