Vivik, you are good luck. Reading about your 1/1957 must have done something weird to the cosmos or some nonsense.
As you can tell, I'm a little happy.

As you can tell, I'm a little happy. Grats yo! I just saw that on GW lol. What's the best rod for Bastore Sardine? Using my brother's character to start building a supply of Sardine Paste and the bite rate with Halcyon / Sabiki Rig is awful.
I'm not sure where he's fishing but I have no issues getting 300 or so sardines in a few hours using Sabiki rig in Mhaura. That's enough to last me a few days
1/5 bite rate at the moment, does that sound about normal? He's in Mhaura.
I'm sitting at 0/455 lik and things aren't looking any better!
I really hope I don't have to do more than 900 =\ Aeyela said: » 1/5 bite rate at the moment, does that sound about normal? He's in Mhaura. I have much better luck fishing these up in Bibiki Bay. It seems that almost every cast lands one (or two or three). Me again!
I recently made my Fishermen's stall and I have a couple of questions about it... There is very conflicting information both in previous posts in this thread as well as on the various sites. Firstly, after fiddling with the furniture in my mog house, I have Mega Moglification: Fishing. A lot of places say this is useless without any other pieces of fishing furniture. This doesn't seem true by 'eyeballing' the speed of bites as well as the discernment of said bites, but does anyone know for sure? Secondly is there any advantage to having Overwhelming Water Energy for Fishing? Aeyela said: » Secondly is there any advantage to having Overwhelming Water Energy for Fishing? Light the Urat signal. You guys should totally get into stand up, my sides just split!
I am loving the undercutting war going on now with Matsya the past few weeks on Lakshmi.
If you take the averages of the other servers, Matsya are selling for and average of 359,000. For Lakshmi they now average 228,000 for a difference of 131,000 lower than the other servers. Way to kill a good gil item. Stay undercutting my friends. Lakshmi.Harkonnen said: » I am loving the undercutting war going on now with Matsya the past few weeks on Lakshmi. Nah, I only sell them every so often, the time it takes to fish up caves and trade them in for pugs kind if turns me off, and get board easy. I have learned from selling oils and powders from alchemy how prices go up and down really fast. What are line breaks like on Haks using Minnows and Sardine Balls? In terms of a comparison, which is the more 'efficient' item to use in terms of losses and bites? Farming for either of them is perfectly realistic to me. I am looking for the most efficient one to use so I know I'm putting my time into the right one.
Thank you! Any kind soul on Quetz wanna help me in entering contest fish for the skill-ups ring?

For minnows usually assume a 2 catch to 1 break ratio on avg assuming you have stall/puffin/noddy etc. I've never really looked at breaks on sardine balls but usually a stack of bait lasts around an hour and the bite rate on sardine balls is a bit less. Breaks are about the same from what I have seen, and agree that the bite rate is a bit lower. Thanks for the replies!
I decided to try with both and I'm seeing more or less the same results in terms of breaks, with the obvious advantage that lures don't hook a bunch of random junk either. In terms of line breaks it seems to be about even which makes me favour towards bait considering how much easier it is to both hold and replace bulk. Do Crocodilos break Lu Shangs at all?
Is there a trade xml or something you can use to not manually suffer through Zaldon trades?
Edit: Meant to post this in the random question thread, was reading this one and just blanked. Sorry-ish ^^; Aeyela said: » Do Crocodilos break Lu Shangs at all? I have a question that I would appreciate if someone could answer. :|
Need to bridge the gap from lv. 75 fishing to 78 for my mules ebisu. Capped on Tavnazian goby, and her fishing is lv 75 atm. Is there any fish that will take her to 78 without a lu shangs? Don't feel like buying one just for 3 levels. Take a Halcyon Rod to Talacca Cove with Crayfish Balls. You'll get line breaks but with bait this isn't a problem. This can take you to 86 (Mercanbaligi) and 96 (Dil). Release the !!!s, those are Ahtapots and will break your rod. Valefor.Lonelyhero
