Added the ability for registered users to rate and report individual forum posts. Right now it's a small plus and minus located at the top right of each post. If you rate down, you should be given the option to report the post if you feel it's inappropriate. Of course this doesn't guarantee that the post will be removed. Scores will later be used to find useful and interesting posts, if they exist.

Is there any way to check on the score of currently posted comments including our own?
I foresee the post-spammers abusing this frequently.

last time it was suggested wasn't this passed as a "not so good idea" what made you guys change your mind (I remember someone posting this forgot )

A majority turned down the idea in front of Jaerik, however, I'm not sure if Scragg was able to see that thread.

Totally agree. This is nothing more than a negative ratedown fest that trolls love to do. I also have a feeling that trolls outside the forum (aka in the game) will rate you down also if you pissed them off for some silly reason.

I'm aware. Nothing will get censored due to a score or report counts. It will be used to flag posts internally for our convenience. We are usually pretty laid back and don't have a problem with 99.99% of posts... even when people report to me. A score will not affect it whatsoever, it's just a little number. I may consider giving users the option to hide it.

All we really need then is a "Report" and "Hide" or even a blacklist feature or something of the like. Maybe a "Hide posts from this user" button would work well.
Just throwing ideas out there. Unfortunately we'll have to live with childish fools acting like rating down to their heart's content will actually accomplish or affect things for now.

This...please. Can't you just hide it in general and use it as a behind the scenes moderation tool? Is there going to be some sorting ability, or a hide function to negative rated posts (similar to youtube) at some point? Because other then that, it just reeks of a way for someone to point and laugh at someone else because they managed to drive their post to a ridiculously low negative number...
